Zakuro 2 Japanese Restaurant located in the Scott Garden serves reasonably tasty Japanese food. The restaurant is pretty cozy behind all the bars. The restaurant is serving a simple with the ample space of sitting.

zakuro2
We started our meal with some greenies and in Zakuro 2 they serves a variety of salad which includes the Sashimi Salad, Mango Salad, Avocado Salad, and Potato Salad. We had the salmon salad where the fresh salmon is topped on top with the bed of greenies. The fresh salmon is also garnished with their special dressing where there is the hint of wasabi taste in it. Served together with it includes the crispy salmon skin.

zakuro2
Scallop Chawanmushi being one of the item we tried for the night. The large scallops sitted on top of the smooth egg custard whch is filled with the shitake mushroom, kamaboko, yuri-ne in it. Adding on top is the juicy whole scallop which brings perfection to the simple dish itself to warm our tummy.
Price: RM 20.00

Next we had the big large feast of fresh sashimi. Served with the bed of ice below, the thick fresh cut of the sashimi moriawase is served to our eyes. The slices of cut almon, Red Tuna, White Tuna, Scallop, and Red Clam are being served on it. The portion is pretty sweet to be shared with friends during your meal in Zakuro2 where it is available at 2 different portions.
Price: 5 types (3 pieces of each) at RM60 and 7 types (3 pieces of each) at RM90.

Next served to our table is one of their best seller which is the softshell crab maki. Deep fried soft shell crab till cruchiness, it is wrapped with the rice together with the crabstick with it. It is then topped with the ebiko and decorated with the soyu and also their homemade mayo with it.
Price: RM 30.00

Their signature dish – Gindara Seaweed Butter is a creation of Chef Heng where the grilled black cod fish is topped with the seawed butter and garlc mushroom. It is indeed a special dish to try them where the seaweed which is served together with it is superb. It is also served together with the deep fried mushroom wrapped with some seaweeds with it too.
Price: RM45.00

For deep fried item lovers, you can try their Tempura Moriawase where their signature classic Japanese Dishes is being deep fried with the assorted seafood and vegetables. The dish brings us with the crunchy taste which I love the most.
Price: RM 25.00

Mentaiko Yaki Udon is a basic udon which give us a savory taste. The udon dish is being stir fried which covered with the cod roe and topped with the shredded seaweed.
Price: RM 18.00

We ended with the Cod fish mentaiko Batayaki. The cod fish is superb freshly made and with the bed of smooth sweet base noodles is completely makes me fall in love with it. The lovely delights had melted my heart from the first bites.
Price: RM 48.00

All must end with sweet temptations, a scope of green tea ice cream is perfect to end our meals.
