TASTE MIGF IS BACK : COOL CHEF “ COOKING WITH ATTITUDE”

The Taste MIGF is back again with the even bigger and a more exciting event. The spectacular MIGF 2013 preview even uis now stretches over three days and nights, during which the general public are being invited to go on a Siper Gourmet Safari to sample the Festive Menu tasting portions from each of the 28 Festival Restaurants. The specially created Theatre of Cuisines is the stunning venue, withn the Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre.

During the event, YBhg Dato’ Steve Day, Organising Chairman of the Malaysia International Gournet Festival ( MIGF) gave his speech and opening the ceremony of MIGF with other sponsors, social of the media and more. he Media Launch was officiated by Festival Royal Patron, Y.A.M. Tunku Naquiyuddin Ibni Tuanku Ja’afar, who has stood in this role since the inception of the Festival 13 years ago. In his speech, Tunku Naquiyuddin eloquently expounded on the growth of the food and beverage industry since the Festival started in 2001, and the tremendous amount of publicity generated by it – “…thanks to the efforts of the organisers and their media partners – MIGF was publicised to a local and global audience of over half a billion people.

Not only that, we enjoyed the event with the cat-walk from the chef as well where the 31 restaurant which is participating the event will be on the stage too. This includes chefs from Westin Hotel, BEST WESTERN PREMIER Dua Sentral, Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur, Aloft, Renaissance Hotel KL and many more.

At the event itself, you can witness some of the chef’s delicious cuisine too. In addition, the nearby Epicure International Gourment Village offers visitors the chance to shop for the global range of gourmet food and beverage. There are also the EpicureLifestyle Workshops which feature cooking classes, wine appreciation classes and many other workshops. And this time, we are glad to be invited to witness the spectacular opening event session by the theme of “Cool Chefs- Cooking with Attitude” , Taste MIGF is open to the public on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and each day will commence in the morning at the Theatre of Cuisines, with a main stage of cooking demonstration bu the international Celebrity Chef and Food Ambassador of Malaysia, Datuk Redzuawan or Chef Wan as he is more popular known as. A life band and and a a wide range of other free entertainment will create a relaxed party atmosphere throughout the 3 day weekend.

Specially created Taste Token are the currency of Cuisines and they can have be pre purchased prior to or during the event. The fully equipped and professionally supervised Children’s Playroom is also provided. And during the event, can see what the chef had prepare for us throughout the event. So, watchout for the upcoming great event starting from 6 September 2013
