THE NEW SEAFOOD SYMPHONY COMBO ORCHESTRATED BY KFC

July 10, 2013 by StrawberrY Gal

In celebration of the approaching month of Ramadhan, KFC Malaysia has crafted the new Seafood Symphony Combo, a meal that will surely satisfy one’s appetite especially during the fasting month.
Based on the previous success of the Hot & Spicy Shrimp, the uniqueness of this meal lies in the shrimp stars and chilli snow crab sauce which truly complement each other. Made with juicy shrimps that are moulded into shapes of stars, the delectable shrimp stars are then breaded and deep fried. The chilli snow crab is a rich sauce made from shredded snow crab sticks incorporated in a thick sweetish tomato sauce spiced with chilli. The tasty chilli snow crab sauce and the succulent shrimp stars marbles together in one’s mouth giving an explosion of flavours that will leave you wanting more.
The KFC Seafood Symphony Combo comes in two different sets. The ‘Oriental Set’ consists of two pieces of Hot & Spicy chicken, one Colonel Chicken Rice, two pieces of shrimp stars, one chilli snow crab sauce and one regular carbonated drink. The ‘Western Set’ comprises of two pieces of Hot & Spicy chicken, two pieces of shrimp stars, one piece of butter bun, one regular coleslaw, one chilli snow crab sauce and one regular carbonated drink. Both sets are sold at RM13.50. The shrimp stars are also available ala’ carte with prices ranging from RM5.50 to RM6.00 (price may vary by location).

“We are confident that KFC’s Seafood Symphony Combo will be a hit during the fasting month as it offers an abundance of taste, combining the best of both worlds which are chicken and seafood,” said Datuk Ahmad Zaki Zahid, Managing Director of QSR Brands (M) Holdings Sdn Bhd, operator of KFC Malaysia.

In conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya celebration, KFC is also launching a celebration bucket version of the Seafood Symphony which consists of chicken, Shrimp Stars, and Chili Snow Crab sauce, served with KFC’s signature sides. A limited-edition KFC proprietary air-tight porcelain cookie jar will be up for grabs together with this purchase. The KFC Celebration Bucket will be available starting from 23 July 2013.
The advertising and promotional strategy for the Seafood Symphony Combo includes TV commercials, Newsprint Ads, Radio Ads, and Outdoor Media. Online media includes Social Network Advertising, E-News, Facebook, Twitter and others for a wider reach to customers.
KFC’s Seafood Symphony Combo is now available at all KFC restaurants in the country for a limited duration of two months, starting from 9 July 2013, while stocks last.
