PENANG HILL, A VIEW OF PENANG ISLAND

Penang Hill is a place which is one of the tourism spot a MUST to visit in Penang. The is a place where you can grab a nice view of the whole Penang island. It is just fun to get a night staying there where you can captures the night of the city as well as an early sunrise on the hill as well. The hill stands out prominently from the lowlands as a hilly and forested area. Penang Hill is also known by the Malay name Bukit Bendera, which refers to Flagstaff Hill, the most developed peak.

The most convenient way up to Penang Hill is by means of the Penang Hill Railway, a funicular railway from Air Itam to the top of Flagstaff Hill.

Charges:

Adult (MY KAD): RM 8.00

Children (MY KAD): RM 4.00 ( 3 years to 12 years)

Senior Citizen ( MY KAD): RM 4.00 ( 55 years and above)

WITHOUT MY KAD

Adult: RM 30.00

Child: RM 15.00( 3 years to 12 years)

Opening Hours

Weekdays : 6.30a.m – 8p.m (last train from top station)

Weekends/Public Holidays & School Holidays : 6.30a.m – 10p.m (last train from top station)

The Ticketing counter at the Bottom Station will be closed at :

Weekdays : 7.00 p.m.

Weekends/Public Holidays & School Holidays : 9.00 p.m.

(the management reserves the rights to revise the schedule without prior notice).

Rapid Penang No. 204 bus from Weld Quay to Penang Hill Railway Station.
