December 13, 2012 By StrawberrY Gal - Food Review, Invited Review Leave a Comment

Festive Season for this year is simply different and every hotel will have their extensive spread of sumptuous dining menu to served their clients. As for this year Hilton Petaling Jaya had also line up their exciting menus for this festive season and welcoming the year of 2013. Here, the hotel team whips up with an extensive spread of dining menu at the Paya Serai Restaurant. Paya Serai Restaurant provides a perfect venue fora heart-warming meal and a joyful celebration with the family and friends.

The Christmas meals are filling to the brim with a host of the scrumptious classic Christmas dishes which is ranges all the way from the Western Cuisines till the locals. The buffet spreads are too plentiful to choose and for this round, we will get to enjoy some of the beautiful and scrumptious Christmas highlights.

We started the highlights with the appetizers which it is served at the petite sizes which is simply sweet and delighting. It is indeed an eye catching delights which is filling up our tummy.

– The Appetizers-

Started off with the grilled vegetables with the pesto sauce where the eggplant, onions, red ball peppers and more are being season with salt and pepper as well as olive oil. It is then being grilled until tender and browned. It is then being topped with the pesto sauce which a taste of saltiness in it. With the combination, there is some crispiness when chewing the red ball peppers and the delights is simply special.

Next is the smoked duck with pears and red berries is one of my favorite in the appetizer spread. The smoked duck makes is juicy and the taste is soft and it is well mixed with the sweet thin slices of pears. The combination is just great which is indeed a great appetizer to taste.

Tomato and Mozzarella is a special combination of appetizers which is where the chef makes a great combination where fresh juicy tomato is layered with the mozarella cheese in between. It is simply something different and the
cheese is soft and fragrant.

Not to forget is the Prawn Salad with peppers, celery and Spanish Olive where the prawns which is being served is fresh and it is well seasoned. The taste is simply good and flavorful which is a one of my favorites in the spread.

– The Soup-

As for soup, we had the Pumpkin soup with truffle essence. This is where the ripe pumpkin is being cooked till smooth and the taste is amazingly good. The texture is smooth and it has the sweet taste which comes from the pumpkin is really good. I am just falling in love with it and it goes even better with the bread with it.

They do have great Christmas Main Courses as well too. The Oven Sage Turkey is not to be forgotten for Christmas. The Turkey is well grilled with the chessnut stuffing is making a great combination with the Christmas mood. The turkey is then being served together with the gilbet sauce and also the famous traditional cranberry sauce with it.

Not only that, if you love to grab some potatoes, they do have the Baked Potatoes which is being sered with the sour cream and the bacon bits. The potatoes are well baked and it is also very soft at its texture. A yet and simple delights from the hotel not to be missed.

For lamb lovers, don’t miss the Lamb Shank which is well made. The lamb is well made with the mushroom casserole with it. Its meat is tender and juicy which is simply a great combination for Christmas. The juicy lamb shank is not to forget for Christmas and perhaps it is a good choice to grab one during the buffet.

– The Lovely Desserts-

I could not resist desserts and each of every desserts seems temptating to me. The plate of the desserts is simply lovely which I could not even want to grab a bite of it. Each of everything is well made with the petite size is too lovely and beautiful. The Christmas fruit cakes, Yule log, Christmas pudding and the strawberry fruit cakes are well made with the sweet bites to end our meals. I am just loving the little sweet icing laid on the plate and everyone of us would not like to have it as it is too cute.

With this, we end our Christmas meal. The Christmas Delights is not just what we have, it will have more delicious food from the spread in the buffet. This includes the Vegetable Casserole, Glazed Chessnut with Garlic Confit, Crispy Beef bacon, Chicken Tikka and a variety of Kerabu which is their signature delights which is not to be missed in the buffet spread. Not just that, you can complete your delightful meal too with the sweet seduction which includes the Christmas Yule Log, Christmas Stollen, Strawberry Fruit Cake, Chocolate Fountai as well as Christmas Cookies. Fruit Pudding and lots more.
