KAFE KHENG PIN, JALAN PENANG

February 10, 2011 by StrawberrY Gal

Kafe Kheng Pin is located at the corner of Penang Road and Jalan Sri Bahari, opposite Body Glove outlet. It is also a few minutes walk from Cititel Hotel. This café is quite old and it comes with the old historic antique tables and chairs being the wooden type with marble surface. The shop offers a lot of delicious food. One of the famous one will be the chicken rice and the lo bak.

The Prawn Mee is said to be one of the famous one. The prawn mee is simply delicious with small little prawns on top and served with chilly paste.
Taste: 3/5
Price: RM 3.50

Char Koay Teow is a MUST in Penang. A tastebuds and the delighting cooking of the Char Koay Teow is magnificent nice. A duck egg adding in into the char koay teow is a food not to be missed. There are also few medium prawns added which make me totally in love with it.
Taste: 4/5
Price: RM 4.50

Koay Teow Thng here is not bad in taste. Having the chicken meat slices on top with the clear soup is also our order. The soup base is actually made of chicken broth rather then duck.
Taste: 3/5
Price: RM 3.00

Lo bak is mainly known as an appetizer, a side dish of fried mixed stuff of fish fritters, fried bean curd, spring rolls, fried octopus, preserved century eggs and the lorbak roll. The taste is nice and the lo bak is simply a fabulous one. Is on-the stop deep fried and the taste is real nice. The lo bak taste is very nice and delicious and mouth -watering. Aside the lo bak they also have the deep fried prawns which is the specialty. If you had a visit there, order this fews and you will deeply in love with it. As for this, you need to have a good patient as it may take a long time to serve you .
Taste: 5/5
Price: RM 9.00
