DING TAI FUNG, PAVILLION

November 29, 2010 by StrawberrY Gal

Din Tai Fung which is being one of the famous Taiwanese Delights in the world. The restaurant is also being an award winning restaurant serving Taiwanese specialties – the xiaolongbao which is most famous dish of all. It has restaurants worldwide and it has opened their outlet in Malaysia in Pavillion as well as The Gardens.

The Spicy Jelly Fish is said to be made from the highest grade of jelly fish. As so, the jelly fish is firmer in texture and slightly crunchy. It also has a slight spicy taste which is quite similar to add in Thai Chilly Sauce. It is also a bit of taste like sweet and sour as well.
Taste: 5/5
Price: RM 6.80

Marinated Japanese Cucumber with Chili Oil is served cold and it is recommended that it must be taste right away so you can taste the chilling of cucumber and is also crispy. The serving is slightly spicy as it is sprinkled with chili oil.
Taste: 5/5
Price: RM3.90

The pork chop fried rice is one of the best I can say. The pork chop is tender and well fried. It is also juicy as well. The portion was great but the fried rice is slightly tasteless but a big portion of it.
Taste: 5/5
Price: RM 14.90

Ding Tai Fung had also offered a set meal which is reasonable in pricing and you will definitely be full having the set. The set which we ordered is RM 19.90 and subjected to 5% government tax and 10% service tax. The set comes with a package of 3 crab meat siew long pau, 3 normal siew long pau, a main course of your choice, as well as a cup of tea.

Sour Spicy soup La Mien which was exactly that; sour and spicy and most definitely tasty! It is added with some vinegar which had made a sour taste. The La Mien portion was a large one which can be shared for two. The noodles in tangy.
Taste: 5/5
Price: RM 19.90 for a set

Xiu Long Pau which is the specialists is definitely a heavenly made dine. The texture is good and the ingredients are nice. It is also very juicy as well and when you had it don bite them as the juicy xiu long pau will sprinkle the juice out. It is recommended to have them in the whole so you can feel the juicy taste beneath your thoungh. Xiu Long Bao is a must order item when you visit DTF or else your meal won’t be complete without it.
Taste: 5/5
Price: (Included in the set)

The shredded pork fried rice is indeed one of a big portion meal. We ordered the set meal for this. The fried rice is slightly oily but the taste is good. The shredded pork is tender as well. The rice was eggy, fluffy and separate.
Taste: 4/5
Price: RM 19.90 for a set

Gui Leng Guo is a bit special. The taste is bitter and what is good is they not serving white sugar but they served with honey. Is a healthy combination
Taste: 4/5
Price: RM 6.80

* All price are subjected to 10% service charge and 5% government tax.
