BREEKS CAFE, 1 UTAMA

September 15, 2010 by StrawberrY Gal

Breeks! Café is an American-styled café that offers a very appealing and affordable menu, unique restaurant ambient and exciting kerb appeal aiming at young diners. The value-priced menu features many American-styled appetizers and entrees, accompanied by a variety of other tasty favorites such as the famous “Half BBQ chicken”, homemade dressings, bountiful salads, great steaks, delectable pastas, desserts and more.

The Cajun Blacken Fish makes a satisfying meal in itself. The Cajun-style fish is served with spaghetti done al denté and a generous helping of lightly blanched zucchini, carrots and mushrooms. Each bite into the tender fish is a fusion of tastes. The taste of black pepper, herbs and mustard teases the taste buds, against the succulence of the charbroiled fish. There was no hint of oiliness or saltiness, which made the dish a treat.
Taste: 4/5
Price: RM 21.90

Seafood Marinara – Fresh pieces of fish, prawns and mussels are first blanched, instead of deep-fried to maintain the tenderness of the seafood. It is then slowly cooked in a “home-made” tomato sauce and served over spaghetti. The tomato sauce is not salty or oily and the use of fresh herbs ensured there was no tangy aftertaste. A very heart-warming meal indeed.
Taste: 5/5
Price: RM 19.90 / set ( comes with soup and a drink)

The BBQ half Chicken – Is a aptly large half-bird and really makes for two to share. Subtly smoky with a buttery finish. This BBQ half-chicken is available in varying sauce which is the Black Pepper Sauce and garnished accompaniment.
Taste: 5/5
Price: RM 21.90

Cajun Chicken Chop – Its very own Cajun Chicken Chop in Ceviche Sauce. The chicken is well grilled but still juicy. Served with sauteed potato and garden vegetable on hot plate
Taste : 5/5
Price : RM 19.90

Chicken Cutlet Curry Rice – Chicken chop that is seasoned, battered and deep fried to it’s ultimate crispiness, further sliced into cutlets and left to be gratinated with curry sauce, mozzarella and parmesan cheese over a bowl of steaming rice.
Taste: 4/5
Peice: RM 14.90

Orange Sorbet– was served in a chilled half orange peel. The portion wasn’t big but just nice for after meal dessert. The sorbet wasn’t too sweet but really fruity.
Taste: 5/5
Price: RM 6.90

Americano – brewed with high quality light roasts, a cup or two at a time. Heated water is forced under high pressure through finely ground coffee.
Taste: 5/5
Price: RM 5.50

* All price charges are subjected to 10% service charges
