A meal in Simply Penang, 1-Utama

May 16, 2010 by StrawberrY Gal

Simply Penang is one of the shop which serves Penang cuisine in 1-Utama. The shop is opened by Penangtist to serves the Penang cuisine here in 1-Utama. The shop is located at the First Floor of the Promenade of the mall. I am totally miss my hometown food. What we order? We make a few Penang specialties which includes the chee cheong fan, curry mee , chendol and asam laksa.

The starts up will be the Penang Chee Cheung Fan which is the chee cheong fan with the sweet sauce as well as the prawn sauce. The chee cheung fan is not much nice and the taste is so so only.

Penang Curry Mee which taste is not bad. The taste of Penang Curry Mee not bad and the ingredient is also plentiful as well.

As for the Chendol, I don really love the taste of it and is pretty weird. The coconut milk had added too much which make the whole Chendol spoil and it is no longer delighting any more.

Soya bean cincau –  A normal one not to say is neither nice nor not nice. The taste is simply normal and not much to complain or to compliment.

‘

Lastly, is mine disappointing laksa. The Penang Famous Asam Laksa is disappointing me as the taste overall is a bit fishy. The ingredients are not much and the noodles are not delighting as well. This is not my choice for sure.

Taste:
Penang Chee Cheong Fan: 2/5
Penang Famous Curry Mee: 3/5
Simply Penang Chendol: 1/5
Soya Bean Cincau: 3/5
Penang Famous Asam Laksa: 1/5
