HONG KONG STREET CHUN KEE RESTAURANT @ OASIS DAMANSARA

The famous Chun Kee Restaurant originates from Hong Kong Street in Singapore is finally branched out their first branch in Malaysia. With over 50 years of history, Chun Kee brings us with their first branch where we will be pampered with the delicious delights.
chun kee
Bringing you their Signature Dish whcch is their Chun Kee Hor Fan (RM 12 (S)/ RM 22 (M) /RM 32 (L)) served deliciously with the fresh toman fish together with taugeh. Using their signature Thai Dish Sauce and thin broad koay teow to stir fried, the delights is simply awesome especially with the full with “wok hei” sensation. What I love the most is the silky blend of sauce which is absolutely delicious and the fish is simply fresh and the sweetnest remains.

Next served is their Fish Head Noodles (RM 12 (S)/ RM 22 (M) /RM 32 (L)). Not alike many shops, their fish head noodles here are simply different. The “toman” fosh is being deep fried and cooked together with the pork stomach and bones for 4 to 5 hours. It is then added with the fried ginger with the fish in it. If you are a big fans of fish head noodles, you will absolutely falling in love with it. Served with the thick bihun and every mouthful of the taste comes with the taste of Chinese wine while you can get the aftertaste with the hint of ginger in it.

The Prawn Sauce Chicken (RM 20 (S)/ RM 32 (M) /RM 44 (L)) is also one of my favorite in Chun Kee. The chicken is marinated for 24 hours with their own signature sauce before it is being deep fried. Deep fried till golden brown, you will get the crispy textures at the outside while the inside remains its moist and juiciness as well as the scent of the prawn sauce in it.

For the curry fish (RM 40 (S)/ RM 60 (L)) , Chun Kee is using the fresh red snapper fish where the portion comes huge too with the half fish head and meat with it. The fish is being steamed and once done it is then being moved to a pot. The curry which is being served is not too thick but the fragrance of the curry can be tasted.
chun kee
The French Beans with Dried Shrimp Floss (RM 18 (S)/ RM 25 (M) /RM 32 (L)) is well stir fried leaving us with the crispy bites of the French beans as well as the flavourful dried shrimp floss on top.

Next is the Deep Fried Crispy Duck (RM 48 (M)) where the duck is being steam with herbs for 2 hours and then it is being deboned and refrigerate. Later, it is then being deep fried till perfection and served together with the soft fluffy warm mantou. The meat comes so good with the moist sensation.

And we ended our meal of the night with their Crispy Soft Shell Crab with Pork Floss (RM 22 (S)/ RM 33 (M) /RM 44 (L)). The soft shell crab is well deep fried till perection leaving us with the crispy bites. Lovely indeed.

For those who are familiar of the famous Hong Kong Street Chun Kee Hor Fan, you can find them all here in Oasis Damansara. Do pop by their restaurant for a Singaporean style of food. Not just that, Chun Kee do served good affordable lunch set too.
