HANARE AUTHENTIC JAPANESE CUISINE RESTAURANT, THE INTERMARK

April 13, 2012 by StrawberrY Gal

Thanks to OpenRice.com for the invitation for us Malaysianfoodie to enjoy dine with them at the Hanare Japanese Restaurant which is located in The Intermark. The restaurant is well located at the Jalan Tun Razak and the restaurant is well decorated. The restaurant serves authentic seasonal Japanese cuisine with food flown in from the famous Tsukiji market every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

We are being served with the free flow of Sake to start with. Sake is an alcoholic beverage of Japanese origin that is made from fermented rice. It is slightly hot when you drink them.

– The whole plate-

– Looking at One By One-

We started our meal with Zenzai (前菜). This is where it comes with their seasonal items which is Snail as well as the Season Baby Squids. The snails are tasted like chicken meat and it was truly a big snail though. Aside, we tried the squids which taste good too. It is serves together with the small little taufu which is one is normal and another one is having a slight sesame taste that comes with it. The meals is seasonal where it will be served between April to June.

We also had the Sashimi Set (御造り三種盛り)which is being served with Kanpachi, Kurodai and Katsuo “Bonito Fish & Namakato (fresh octopus). The Sashimi Set is full with freshness where the fresh octopus is still moving when it is being served. It is kinda like I am in the fear factor movie which I am thinking to eat or not.

This is another item which is being served which is the Nimono (煮物又は蒸し物) which is the simmered dish. This is the ankake where the donburi is being served with shrimps and chicken. This is where the chawanmushi had an egg with it where this is usually prepared in hotspring. The egg and the taufu is being steamed in the hotspring and being served then.

Next is the Yakimono (焼き肴)which is the Snapper Milt. We had not really known what is that and we had our first bite which the texture is simply milky. The texture is simply smooth and after we get to know them, I supposed I am not taking it more. It is actually the snapper sperms for the day.

Something normal finally where we are being served which is the Agemono(揚げ肴). This is where the Sakura Ebi which is another seasonal items which is only available for 2 months. The season prawn is being deep fried till golden brown and it has its crunchiness when munching them. The sakura ebi is indeed a nice one to try.

Gohan (季節の炊き込みご飯) is our last thing to try before jumping to the desert. We are being served with the Seasonal Beef Claypot Rice which the glutinous rice is being served together with the beef.

I love desserts(デザート) which it is of my favorites. The special dessert is indeed a nice one to try out where we are served with the Handmade Mochi, together with the Japanese Strawberry and the Japanese Pear which is cooked with Strawberry. Together with it, we are served with a scope of Vanila Ice Cream together.
