CHARLIE CHAPLIN, ONE CITY

There are more new malls mushrooming in Klang Valley and one of it is One City. One City is one of the places which is being attraction recently for its beautiful landscape as well as its sky park. The area is now packed with more food outlets to explore where you can find Tokyo Kitchen, Fat Boys Burger and more. This time, we heads for Charlie Chaplin which is one of the brands which is located in One City.

Charlie Chaplin is one of the brands which is landed in One City. With the catchy name – Charlie Chaplin is one of the legacy actors in the 1880’s. Sir Charles Spencer “Charlie” Chaplin, KBE (16 April 1889 – 25 December 1977) was an English comic actor, filmmaker, and composer who rose to fame in the silent era. Chaplin became a worldwide icon through his screen persona “the Tramp” and is considered one of the most important figures in the history of the film industry.

The restaurant itself originated from US brings us a classical environment with the black umbrella light hanging in the restaurant itself. Wood sitting plates with the brown colored furniture and books around the restaurant is indeed bringing us back to the 70s.

Smoked Salmon Salad (RM 20.00) is much a standard fresh greenies with the smoked salmon and mix fresh salad with their homemade raspberry chilly dressing. The salad itself brings us with the zestiness of the sauce itself combining the fresh salmon flavours in it.

Charlie Chaplin Pizza (RM 30.00) is one of the highlights in the restaurant. The home-based secret minced beef sauce with 100% mozzarella sauce is being topped on to the charcoal base. Each mouthful of the pizza is simply appetizing where the smell of the mozzarella melts in the mouth leaving the robust flavors within the mouth. With the thin crust charcoal based, it is much more appetizing and up to my preference.

The Salmon Steak with Lemon Better Sauce (RM 32.00) arrived under a cloche, which revealed a fragrant cloud of smoke when it is lifted. If presentation is anything to goes by,, it scores a high mark. The salmon steak had tempted with the lemon buttersauce and it is laid on top of a bed of creamy mashed potato with asparagus decorated. The salmon itself is well marinated with salt and pepper and left to sits its own juices before being seared and served with adding the lemon buttersauce with it.

The pasta Fruit On The Sea (RM 28.00) on the sea is being drenched with the rich flavours of tomato sauce and it comes with the mixed tiger prawns, clams and calamari with it. The simple delights which not much to shout about as the dish is pretty standard.

The tomyam noodles soup (RM 22.00) is not much to my likings where the bihun is soaked with the bowl of tomyam soup. The dish is pretty salty to me and ingridients is slightly little to my preference.

Royal Chocalate (RM18) is one of my favorites in Charlie Chapin. Rich chocolate which is well layer with different textures and each spoofil is sinfully delicious. Every mouthful of the chocolate melts in the mouth with the thick fragrant chocolaty taste. Love it!

Chocolate Brownie with Chantilly Cream (RM 15.00)
E-20140216-9506
Signature Coffee (RM13)

Orange Koosed Mochaccino (RM 18)
