SILKA CHERAS, KUALA LUMPUR TAKES ON THE ROLE AS NEWEST ICONIC LANDMARK IN CHERAS

May 1, 2014 by StrawberrY Gal

Silka Cheras Kuala Lumpur is set to soar as a new iconic landmark in Cheras when it recently soft-launched its business.

A value-led hotel that is owned by Mayland Properties Sdn Bhd and managed by Dorsett Hospitality International (HKEx Stock Code 2266), the opening of Silka Cheras Kuala Lumpur marks a new milestone for Cheras especially with its unique semi-circular hotel building located along Jalan Cheras. With the hotel’s presence, it is steered to ‘resurrect’ the glory days of the area especially with a complementing shopping destination, Cheras Sentral Shopping Mall.

In conjunction with the hotel’s soft-launching and as part of an introductory campaign to the area, Silka Cheras Kuala Lumpur has collaborated with As Saah Sdn Bhd in bringing more than 50 taxis for a taxi campaign. As Saah Sdn Bhd has a fleet of over 200 taxis ranging from luxury category to executive category in addition to a budget taxi category. Several goodie bags containing sumptuous “Nasi Briayani” specially prepared by the hotel’s chef and other hotel giveaway were made during the campaign.

As an opening promotion, the value-led hotel currently offers RM168 nett a night stay with breakfast for two persons and free WiFi access. Silka Cheras Kuala Lumpur vows to deliver “Comfortable, Hassle-Free and Great Value” accommodation to discerning business travellers, savvy travellers or even public-at-large.

Centrally located in Cheras and is easily accessible by major local transportation networks, the hotel is 15-minute drive away from the heart of Kuala Lumpur City Centre and 45 minutes from Kuala Lumpur International Airport. It boasts 319 design-led guestrooms with four room categories:  Superior (26 sq m); Silka Room (32 sq m); Studio (38 sq m) and the open-concept design, Silka Suite (42 sq m).

Other attractions within ten kilometers radius from the hotel include the Alam Damai Recreation Park, National Swimming Centre and a branded shopping outlet, MO Outllet.
Apart from catering for the leisure and business travellers, Silka Cheras is also ideal for medical tourists with its close proximity to both University Hospital and Cheras Specialist Centre.
