SEO SEO GALBI TIME AT GOONG RESTAURANT, AMPANG

September 2, 2013 by StrawberrY Gal

Restaurant Goong comes out with more new things all the way from Korea to us.Visited by “Ho Chak”, the restaurant is definately is worth to visit for their authentic Korean food where Laura tempt us with more Korean culture as well as the Korean delights.

Seo Seo Galbi is one of the cultural bbq style all the way from Korea is brought over to Malaysia by Laura. It is indeed a unique dining experience, there are no chairs or even a traditional table. Your table is also the grill, which is fashioned out of metal 50 gallon drums. The seasoned galbi or seafood roasts over a grill in the middle of the table, surrounded by Korean peppers (풋고추), red pepper paste (고추장), raw garlics and onions.

In here, we have their combo set where it is the combination of the pork combo and seafood combo. If you prefer to have the pork combo it is being served with the tender juicy pork with the succulent meat which you could not resists inclusive the Pork Belly ( Samgyeopsal) as well as the Pork Neck ( Moksal Sogumgul). In the promo, customer are also entitled for a free soju as well.

Next is the Seafood Combo where you can have your delicious seafood with the Seo Seo Galbi. They have the Squid ( Ojingeo), Octopus (Sannakji), Prawns (Saeu Gui) and also Black Clams ( Jogae) in the set. The items are simply delicious and most of all it is just so fresh that makes the overall delights delicious. I can’t believe that it is never enough for us.

We also not only enjoy the delicious mains but we try their original Korean ala-carte delights as well. The seafood Sundubu Jigae brings us with the spiciness and the hint of the seafood taste especially the crab taste. The delights just pamper our tummy with the hot soup before we starts enjoy the BBQ
Price: RM 20.00

Kimchi Jingae, another words for KimChi Stew is just fabulous. The fragrant kim chi taste makes the food very appetizing which is just superb for kimchi lover to try off.
Price: RM 20.00

We also had the JanChi Guksu. The noodles which is well known in Korea and they are mainly served during the banquet. It is served with a sauce made from sesame oil, ganjang, and small amounts of chili pepper powder and scallions. A slight peppery but it is just lovely to have them especially on cold rainy days.
Price: RM 20.00

We ended with the Mandu which is the dumplings. Well wrapped and stuffed with the juicy succulent meat and the dumpling just melts in the mouth with it. It is just perfect as it is and it is one of my favorite/
