Malayan Tigers roars in Artworks Hotel Ipoh

August 30, 2019 by StrawberrY Gal

Artworks Hotel Ipoh brings you with their latest creation and one can actually grab this opportunity to visit the insta-friendly art in their hotel. In conjunction with Malaysia 62th Independence Day, Artworks Hotel comes up with this iconic artwork which is the Felidae’s family, the Malayan Tigers a.k.a Panthera Tigris!

This beautiful and awesome Malaysian Tigers are indeed our Malaysian iconic animal and the majestic animal in our forest. The king of our jungle and our natural heritage is now drawn at the walls of Artworks Hotel Ipoh.

For those are not aware, the Malayan Tiger is at the average length of 8ft 6 inch, weighing between 50kg to 130kg, it is no doubt, it is an apex predator in the country. However, due to the numbers of Malayan Tigers are plummeting drastically, it has been classified as Critically Endangered under the IUCN Red Lists since 2015. With only less than 250 Malayan Tigers, the World Wide Fund for Nature Organization (WWF) organized countless high-level conferences and dialogs on this issue to raise the public awareness to prevent the tigers from being extinct in the wild.

Not just that, Artworks Hotel Ipoh owners who is passionate in arts and culture works with the local talented artist Lewind Sow & Shawna Pang to draw this Malayan Tiger in our hotel premise with specifically added 62 different elements representing the Malaysia Culture. Its purpose is to create more awareness of saving the world’s endangered animals and their habitats, saving the national heritage and preventing irreversible harm to the biodiversity and society.
