LOBSTER MEALS AT BALI HAI KOTA DAMANSARA

September 11, 2013 by StrawberrY Gal

Bali Hai Restaurant is not new anymore to us. The restaurant itself is famous for their fresh seafood. When you stepped into the restaurant, you will be greeted with a smile from the staff as well as large aquarium of seafood with lobsters, fish, prawns, geoduck, lobsters and more.
BALI HAI

And this round, our meals is being served by the experience chef-Chef Low who had the 15 years of experience. Chef Low who originated from Penang had join Bali Hai past few months ago and he had bring us more surprises on the food which is being served.

– Enjoying the cooked lobsters and geoduck-

Our meal started with the Australian Lobster and Canadian Geoduck Sashimi with Superior Soup Steamboat. Freshly sliced lobster meat which is imported all the way from Australia with the geoduck from Canada are well cut and served as sashimi is just heavenly. We took in raw and each mouthful of it can feel the freshness and the juiciness of the lobster meat and geo duck which melts within. The soup is also sinfully good where the superior soup is being brewed with the chicken bone, apple, scallion and each of bowl of the hot pipping soup does not add any preservatives in it. It is being accompanied with a set of vegetables includes greenies, enoki mushroom as well as tofu together with it. For customer who does not love to eat raw, they can opt to have it shabu shabu with the Superior Soup which is good too. The soup itself is well infused with the ingredients is sweet and filled with the fragrance. Lovely!
BALI HAI

The Golden Garlic Steamed Freshwater Lobster which comes all the way from Indonesia. The Freshwater Lobster is just fresh as it is and chef does nothing special but adding some garlic and steamed them. Due to the freshness of the seafood itself, it had made the dish simply irresistible and delicious. The chef served them in two style where one is just pure steaming without adding garlic and another added garlic with it as some customer does not prefer to have the garlic taste.

Next come the Vietnam Style Mackerel. The Mackeral fish is well deep fried and filled with crispiness. Then, it is being added with the chilly, lemongrass as well as other condiments with it. The fresh mackerel fish is superbly crunchy skin with the succulent tangling fish meat is just superb.
BALI HAI

Kam Heong Clams were big though. Fresh meat and stir fried with the kam heong sauce is nothing fancy to shout about. A plus is the clams are big and juicy which gives the succulent juicy meat which is served with it. Yummz

The Crispy Deep Fried Chicken with Thai Sauce is some of the local delights which come with the set meal. Using spring chicken, the chicken is well deep fried ala Chinese style leaving the succulent juicy meat with it. It is served together with the chef’s signature Thai Sauce which comes well with it. It creates the sweet sour spicy taste which is together with it as well as the tangy taste of the meat. It is truly a great combination of delights to have it together.
BALI HAI

Homemade Seafood Beancurd is chef’s signature which brings the homemade taste where chef’s well prepared the delectable bean curd together with it. The bean curd is just nicely prepared where chef added with the sotong paste, fish paste and  ham in it. It’s soft inside while at the outside, the skin is just crispy as it is.
BALI HAI

Stir-fried Vegetables is perfectly well stir fried lotus roots with the sauce and topped with the crispy cashew nuts on top. Well stir fried lotus roots and it is simply crispy .The dish is well presented and something to enjoy with all the seafood delights.
BALI HAI

We ended with the Teochew style noodles which is where the noodles brought all over the way from Penang. The noodles believed to have good absorption of the gravy and the taste is just superb. It is just perfectly absorb the taste of the gravy bringing a perfect blend.
BALI HAI
Not to forget, we ended with the plate the sweet sensations which are the fruits. The combinations of few fruits are being served – mango, dragonfruit and watermelon. Some sweet delights to end our meals for the day.
