Sajian Istimewa @ Lemon Garden, Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur

April 1, 2023 by StrawberrY Gal

As the holy month arrives, Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur warmly invites you to partake in a lavish and celebratory Sajian Istimewa feast, specially curated to delight your senses and pay homage to this sacred time. This sumptuous feast features an extensive spread of traditional and modern delicacies, bursting with flavor and designed to nourish both body and soul.

Sajian Istimewa @ Shangrila KL

Starting from the first day of Ramadan until 21 April 2023, Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur invites you to indulge in a rewarding “Buka Puasa” dining experience with their lavish Sajian Istimewa Buffet. This special Ramadan buffet spread is inspired by our Malaysian heritage and delicacies, curated by Shangri-La’s team of culinary experts, led by Chef Mohamad Safe Adin. The culinary team has carefully selected the ingredients and spices to present an array of delicious dishes that cater to the discerning palates of their guests.

The buffet features an extensive selection of traditional Malay, Middle Eastern, and international dishes, including appetizers, mains, and desserts. The chefs have incorporated the flavours and aromas of Malaysia’s rich culinary heritage into their dishes, resulting in an exceptional dining experience for guests.

The staple dishes on the buffet are a must-try for anyone looking to experience the authentic flavours of Malaysia. Some of these include the Kari Kepala Ikan, a fish head curry that is cooked to perfection with a blend of aromatic spices and herbs. The Daging Rendang Minang, a slow-cooked beef dish that’s simmered in a fragrant mix of spices and coconut milk, is another standout dish. The Ikan Lidah Masak Tomato, a tongue-tickling fish dish with a tangy tomato sauce, and the Kambing Masak Kurma, a lamb curry that’s cooked with dates and other spices, are also popular dishes that are not to be missed.

Guests can also look forward to other mouth-watering dishes such as the Ayam Masak Chili Padi, a spicy chicken dish with a fiery kick, the Sambal Udang, a prawn dish cooked with a spicy chilli paste, and the Rendang Daging, a slow-cooked beef dish in a rich, creamy coconut sauce.

The Satay, a popular street food snack in Malaysia, is also available on the buffet spread, alongside other must-try dishes such as the Udang Masak Petai, a prawn dish with the distinct flavour of petai beans, the Ekor Masak Assam Pedas, a sour and spicy beef tail curry, and the Gulai Kawah Tulang Rawan, a bone marrow curry that’s both hearty and flavourful. The Kambing Panggang Berempah, a succulent roasted lamb dish with a spicy crust, and the Gulai Ikan Sembilang, a fish curry with a fragrant spice blend, are also available.

But that’s not all – the Sajian Istimewa buffet also includes a variety of international dishes, from Classical Moroccan Ratatouille and Grilled Beef Mignon to Deep Fried Fish & Chips with Tartare Sauce and Italian pasta and pizza at the Western corner. The Salad counter offers a refreshing mix of options, such as Mixed Seafood Salad Mesculin Green, Beef Salad with Pickle Veggie and Green Lettuce, and Roasted Pumpkin Salad with Feta Cheese & Baby Spinach.

If you’re a fan of seafood, you’re in luck – the buffet also includes a variety of fresh seafood on ice, from oysters to prawns, mussels, crabs, and scallops. And for Japanese food lovers, there’s a selection of sushi and sashimi to enjoy.

Enjoy their bowl of lovely soup too!

But what really sets the Sajian Istimewa buffet apart are the outdoor Warung’ stalls set up at the Garden Terrace. These live stations offer a variety of traditional dishes that add an exciting festive element to the dining experience. Guests can interact with the chefs and ask questions about the dishes being served, making it a truly interactive experience.

Some of the dishes offered at the Warung stations include Gado-gado dengan Kuah Kacang, Kerabu Pucuk Paku dengan Udang, Char Koay Teow, Bubur Lambok, Sup Kambing, Lemang Pulut, Ketupat Palas, and Fried Cempedak.

And if you’re looking for something sweet to end your meal, there’s a wide selection of desserts to choose from, including Traditional Kuih-muih, Banana Fritter, Peanut Fudge Cake, Onde-onde Cupcakes, and Durian Cakes.

The Sajian Istimewa buffet is available from 7.00pm to 10.00pm, with prices starting from RM250 nett per person on Monday to Thursday and RM290 nett per person on Friday to Sunday and public holidays. For reservations and inquiries, you can call +603 2074 3900 or email [email protected].
