LI YEN PRESENTS A BEAUITFUL MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL WITH EXQUISITE HANDCRAFTED MOONCAKES

September 5, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival with a delectable selection of traditional baked and snow skin mooncakes specially handcrafted by the culinary team at award-winning Li Yen Chinese restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur.

This year, the new Mini Snow Skin Cream Cheese with Port Wine Mooncake makes its debut and features a silky cream cheese with a tinge of tartness and sweetness of the Port Wine. This indulgent snow skin creation is the perfect dessert and is best enjoyed chilled.

Back by popular demand, the much sought-after selection of Moët & Chandon Champagne Mooncakes returns with the Mini Snow Skin Moët & Chandon Champagne Mooncake and Mini Snow Skin Moët & Chandon Rosé Imperial Champagne Mooncake. The exquisite champagne mooncakes are the specialities of award-winning Chef Leong Kwai Hong. Retaining the traditional ingredients, the essence of the celebratory bubbly is infused into the smooth lotus paste and is then wrapped in a tender snow skin that similarly bears the sparkling flavor. The delicate taste of the beverage is therefore enhanced and beautifully presented in the form of meticulously made mooncakes.

For those who prefer the traditional mooncakes, the baked selection offers 10 different flavors including White Lotus Paste with Double Egg Yolk, Red Bean Paste with Single Egg Yolk, Lotus Paste with Single Egg Yolk and the savory Li Yen Kam Tui, filled with delicious nuts and Chinese ham.

A box of four baked mooncakes is priced from MYR 72 nett, while a box of eight mini mooncakes is priced from MYR 36 nett. These delectable mooncakes can also be purchased individually and are priced from MYR 11 nett.

Li Yen is located on Level Two of The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur. Lunch is served from 12.00pm to 2.30pm from Monday to Saturday and 10.30am to 2.30pm on Sundays and Public Holidays.  Dinner is available from 6.30pm to 10.30pm daily.
