ISLAND SHANGRI-LA, HONG KONG WELCOMES THE MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL WITH SEVEN-STAR MOONCAKE AND TRADITIONAL GOODIES

August 4, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

For this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival, Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong presents its signature Seven-Star Mooncake with newly introduced flavours; the debut White lotus seed paste mooncake with six egg yolks; in addition to the Heep Hong Charity Mooncake and a variety of premium goodies for guests to celebrate the Moon Festival.

Seven-Star Mooncake
A bestseller since its first appearance in 2012, the Seven-Star Mooncake is the ultimate indulgence for mooncake lovers.  Inside its elegant crimson-coloured box are one large mooncake with white lotus seed paste and six egg yolks, surrounded by seven mini mooncakes.  The mini mooncakes’ assorted fillings include the all-time favourites milk custard, white lotus seed paste with egg yolk, white lotus seed paste with pine nuts, red bean paste with egg yolk, red bean paste with preserved tangerine peel, as well as two brand new flavours – chocolate and chestnut with sweet potato.

Mooncake for Charity
The Heep Hong Charity Mooncake is an initiative to raise funds for the hotel’s long-term charity partner, Heep Hong Society – one of Hong Kong’s largest service providers of early intervention and education for children with special needs.  The mooncake box wrapper is designed with beautiful drawings painted by the children from Heep Hong Society and contains four pieces of traditional mooncakes with white lotus seed paste and double egg yolks.  All proceeds from the sale of this charitable mooncake will benefit Heep Hong Society’s diversified services and facilities.

Mid-Autumn Mooncakes and Hampers
For those looking for the perfect gift idea, or simply to satisfy their yearly craving for the festive treat, the hotel has debuted the irresistible White lotus seed paste mooncake with six egg yolks, in addition to a wide selection of traditional mooncakes and hampers.  Please refer to the appendix for details.

Guests can enjoy discounts ranging from 10 to 25 per cent on purchases of 10 or more mooncake boxes (excluding the Heep Hong Charity Mooncake).  In addition, guests will be entitled to a HK$200 dining voucher valid at Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong for every purchase worth HK$4,000 (after discount).  Special mooncake coupons are also available at Island Gourmet.

Delivery service to Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories may be arranged for HK$180, HK$240 and HK$350, respectively.

To place orders, please call Island Gourmet at (852) 2820 8551, e-mail [email protected] or visit the mooncake display counter on level 5 of the hotel from now until 15 September 2016.  Guests can also visit the online platform at https://www.buys.hk/island-shangri-la-mooncake-2016/html/islmooncake-special-checkout-en.html.
