SHANGRI-LA HOTEL MOONCAKE

August 27, 2011 by StrawberrY Gal

From now until Sept. 12, Shangri-La Hotel had offers a wide range of mooncake for its customers during the mooncake festival to be share among friends and family. The mooncakes is well packed in high class boxes with a jade in front.

As so, I had made my visit to Mid Valley to get my mooncake from Shangri-la hotel. High-quality ingredients are used in the moon cakes made by Shangri-La Hotel which contribute to their fresh, mild and aromatic taste is my favorite of all. These mooncakes are packed in the hotel´s personalized and custom-designed gift boxes. The Deluxe Gift Box features a choice of four pieces of mooncakes or six pieces of mini ping pei encased in a black and red or black and pink custom-designed box.

What’s my flavor? I had bought a box with which consist of Lotus Seed Paste with Single Yolk, White Lotus Seed Paste, White Lotus Seed Paste with Single Yolk and Black Sesame Seed with Single Yolk . The baked mooncakes need to be consumed within 10 days.

– The White Lotus Mooncake-

– The Black Sesame Seed with Single Yolk Mooncake-

What I love about the mooncake is the mooncake is not too sweet compare to other brands and there is no preservatives on the mooncake which makes me fall in love with it. Overall, the Black Sesame Seed with Single Yolk Mooncake will be my family favorites as it is not sweet and the Black Sesame taste is very smooth and delighting

Other flavours here include Red Bean Paste, Lotus Seed Paste with Single Yolk, White Lotus Seed Paste, White Lotus Seed Paste with Single Yolk, Assorted Nuts & Sun Dried Fruits, Black Sesame Seed with Single Yolk, Mini White Lotus Seed Paste with Yolk, Mini Ping Pei White Lotus Seed Paste, Mini Ping Pei White Chocolate with Pistachio Flavour and Golden Raisins, and Mini Ping Pei Chocolate with Ganache, Pecan Nuts and Chinese Tea.
Taste: 4/5
Price: RM 18 – RM 25 per pcs of mooncake
