MORE THAN RM 30,000 WORTH OF PRIZES UP FOR GRABS FOR HEALTH CHALLENGE!

February 6, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

Kenny Rogers ROASTERS (KRR) announced that the 10th ROASTERS Health Watch (RHW) challenge is back and it is open for submissions.
In its 10th year running, this year’s theme is Intervarsity Health War – it is introduced with an aim to further drive home the message that healthy living begins young.
Together with Original Bootcamp, the organisers of one of the toughest physical challenge, Viper Challenge, RHW this year will see selected participants go through a 5-week health management programme ala bootcamp style with the help of the coaches from Original Bootcamp, participants will also be equipped with proper diet plans with the aid of KRR.
“We chose to have our annual ROASTERS Health Watch with college and university students this year as we believe that this age group is the most crucial to foster a better and healthier lifestyle. Despite their hectic schedule, it is vital for students to be educated on the importance of keeping a healthy diet and exercising regularly,” said Christina Thong, Marketing Manager of Berjaya ROASTERS (M) Sdn. Bhd.
To join the challenge, students are to inform of their interest to their respective college / university’s Student Affairs Department, and submit all relevant information. Participants are to form teams of two (2) persons (both participants must be from the same college/university) to be eligible to enter this competition.
The RHW challenge is open to all varsity students in the Klang Valley. Students are invited and encouraged to take part to stand a chance to be crowned with the title of being the winning team of the first ever themed Intervarsity Health War!
Participants’ fitness and endurance will be assessed at a finale bootcamp challenge. Participants will also be observed through their attendance and discipline throughout the period of challenge.
To register, students are to submit their entries via www.krr.com.my by Sunday, 13 March 2016. Only the top 10 teams will be shortlisted on a first come first serve basis.
The stakes are higher with more exclusive prizes in store by sponsors such as Original Bootcamp, Guardian, and GINTELL.
Since its inception, the ROASTERS Health Watch programme has transformed and inspired many participants from all walks of life to have a healthy lifestyle. Throughout the years, the health programme introduced many themes, from Parents Vs Runts, Mars Vs Venus to Celebs Vs Fans.
Notable celebrities and famous personalities such as local artist Ferhad, international footballer Abbas Saad, TV hosts Rina Omar and Megan Tan, radio announcer Azura Zainal and many more have joined the programme to advocate the importance of living healthy in recent years.
