BLOSSOMS OF HAPPINESS AT ZUAN YUAN CHINESE RESTAURANT ONE WORLD HOTEL PETALING JAYA

January 21, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

The Chinese New Year festival is a time for reunion and an occasion to rejoice in the good fortune over the past year with family, business associates and friends. This February, from lavish lunches to sumptuous dinners, chefs of Zuan Yuan Chinese restaurant is all set to treat the taste buds with fine festive dishes, specially crafted for the spirit of the season.

Begin the indulgence with yee sang, a staple dish in any New Year celebration, made
from multi – coloured vegetable mix, complemented with delightful condiments and tangy sauce. Next, depending on the menu selected, sample the braised or double – boiled broth, rich with flavours and treasures from the sea then, continue with the perfectly Roasted Chicken accompanied with Lemon and Mint Sauce.

It is customary to feast on dishes that feature auspicious connotations to ensure a promising year ahead such as the tender Steamed Garoupa with Chilli and Garlic to symbolise abundance, the juicy Wok Fried Tiger Prawns with Vietnamese Five Spiced Powder to represent laughter, and arguably the highlight of the menu, the Braised Abalone with Fish Maw, Sea Cucumber, Dried Oyster and Sea Moss in Claypot to suggest prosperity and good tidings.

Each set menu comes with the fragrant Steamed Rice with Preserved Assorted Meat, Yam and Chicken Sausages wrapped in Lotus Leaves for a dose of carbohydrate. For dessert, look forward to the timeless favourite Deep Fried `Nian Gao’ with Banana Cream and refreshing Chilled Sea Coconut with Red Dates.

Set menus are priced at RM1738.00nett, RM1980.00nett and RM2210.00nett for a table of ten with two complimentary bottles of wine.
