TASTE NEW ZEALAND AT JAYA GROCER

June 18, 2015 by StrawberrY Gal

For the first time, New Zealand Trade Enterprise has partnered with the Jaya Grocer chain of supermarkets to bring consumers its Taste New Zealand, a Food Fair that was launched on 12 June and will end on 21 June. With only a few days left, consumers can look forward New Zealand products on special promotions and for the first time, a custom-made New Zealand menu that would be available at all the Jaya Grocer cafes – Fresco Grocerant at Empire Subang, Mainplace USJ and The Intermark.

The menu is developed using Pure South (Alliance) delicious lamb, Talley’s Sole Fish and Hoki Fillet, Kapiti Ice Cream, Mother Earth products and Whittaker chocolates.

From the RTE Carvery Station, diners will have a choice of Mustard Crust NZ Lamb Leg (RM26.00) which is a juicy, tasty plate of New Zealand Boneless lamb Leg roasted with a flavoursome mustard crust served with Honey Mustard Sauce and a side of vegetables. From the Ala Carte menu, consumers can choose from Baked NZ Whole Sole (RM26.00) which is a baked whole sole fish caught in crisp New Zealand waters, served with Prawn Mousse and Dill Lemon, a combinaton that brings out all the right flavours and sweetness of the sole fish. For an interesting twist to fish and chips, try the Oatmeal Hoki Fish and Chips (RM26.00) which is a deep fried oatmeal-crusted Hoki fish fillet served with fries and tartare sauce.

To end the meal on a sweet note, diners can look forward to a complimetary scoop (80gram) of Kapiti ice cream with purchase of any New Zealand Food Promotion meal from Fresco Grocerant. Diners will also get a complimentary piece of Whittaker’s chocolate (15 grams) or Mother Earth’s Baked Oaty Slice with any coffee or tea ordered.

In addition to the New Zealand Menu available at the café, consumers can look forward to purchasing exciting New Zealand products, such as PIC’s Peanut Butter, Prosper, Whittaker’s Chocolates, CHIA beverages, Rockit Apples, ZESPRI kiwifruit, Kapiti Ice Cream, Pure South lamb and Farmer’s Mill Gluten Free baking products. Easiyo, the yoghurt maker is also running an incredible promotion where with every purchase of two packets of its yoghurt base, consumers get the Easiyo Yoghurt Maker for free!!!

For a taste of good honest food products from New Zealand, the Taste New Zealand Fair at Jaya Grocer outlets is not to be missed!
