Tono Ikazaya brings you with BUY 1 FREE 1 Set Meal

April 15, 2025 by StrawberrY Gal

Tono Izakaya, a distinguished name in the Japanese dining scene, has recently expanded its culinary offerings with an exclusive new menu at their Publika outlet. This modern izakaya continues to innovate, providing guests with a delightful fusion of traditional Japanese flavors and contemporary twists.

Culinary Highlights

One of the standout offerings is the Shiro Mirugai, available at RM88 for a half portion. This dish showcases the restaurant’s commitment to quality and authenticity, delivering a taste experience that’s both fresh and indulgent.

Another highlight is the Chutoro, featuring perfectly cut, juicy slices that melt in the mouth, exemplifying the art of sushi preparation. For those seeking a deeper flavor, the Hon Maguro Akami offers a rich and satisfying indulgence.

The izakaya also offers a variety of yakitori options, including quail egg, wagyu beef, and zucchini with mentaiko ito kezuri.

Each skewer is grilled to perfection, offering a delightful combination of textures and flavors. The kushiyaki selection is particularly noteworthy, with each bite delivering a delicious and satisfying experience.

Special Promotions

In addition to the new menu items, Tono Izakaya is running a special promotion for March & April 2024. Diners can enjoy a Buy 1 Free 1 deal on select lunch and dinner sets for only RM88. This promotion is available exclusively at the Publika and Georgetown outlets, offering guests an excellent opportunity to indulge in premium Japanese cuisine at exceptional value.

Australian Wagyu Don

The Australian Wagyu Don features premium Australian Wagyu beef, celebrated for its rich marbling and tender texture. Each slice is meticulously prepared to highlight the beef’s natural flavors, resulting in a succulent and flavorful experience. The beef is served over a bed of perfectly seasoned rice, allowing diners to savor the harmonious combination of textures and tastes. This dish not only showcases the quality of the ingredients but also reflects Tono Izakaya’s commitment to providing an authentic yet innovative dining experience.

Engawa Ikura Don

The Engawa Ikura Don is a testament to Tono Izakaya’s expertise in delivering refined Japanese cuisine. Engawa, the delicate meat from the tail fin of a flounder, is known for its soft, creamy texture and buttery taste.

At Tono Izakaya, the engawa is lightly torched (aburi-style), imparting a subtle smoky flavor that enhances its natural richness. This is complemented by generous servings of ikura (salmon roe), which add bursts of briny freshness to each bite. The dish is artfully arranged over seasoned rice, creating a bowl that’s both visually appealing and delectable. Diners have praised this offering for its exquisite balance of flavors and textures, making it a standout choice for both new and returning patrons.

Each set comes with a variety of accompaniments that elevate the dining experience, including miso soup, appetizers, chawanmushi (Japanese steamed egg custard), pickles, and a delightful dessert to finish off the meal. This comprehensive set ensures that every aspect of a traditional Japanese meal is covered, allowing diners to explore different flavors and textures.

Operating Hours

The promotion is available daily, including public holidays, with the following operating hours:

Lunch: 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM (last call at 2:30 PM)

Dinner: 5:00 PM onwards (last call at 10:30 PM)

Tono Izakaya’s dedication to providing an innovative and delightful dining experience continues to make it a standout destination for Japanese cuisine enthusiasts.
