Sweet Classic Gets a Tangy Twist at Secret Recipe

February 5, 2025 by StrawberrY Gal

Secret Recipe, Malaysia’s homegrown lifestyle bakery and café, is kicking off the year on a sweet note with the launch of its latest creation in its ever-growing repertoire of cakes. The Mango Yoghurt Cheese  is a velvety delight set to become a staple on Secret Recipe’s menu, promising to charm cheesecake enthusiasts with its blend of creamy indulgence and a refreshingly tangy twist.

Mango Yoghurt Cheese

The new Mango Yoghurt Cheese is crafted as a satisfying blend of contrasting flavours. Its base is a thin layer of vanilla sponge, followed by baked cheese, and yoghurt panna cotta.  The decadent layer is then crowned with sweet and zesty mango fruit pulp as well as a layer of refreshing crystal jelly. Each resulting bite delivers a smooth but firm texture with an irresistible “melt-in-your-mouth” finish, making it a treat for both mango and cheesecake lovers alike.

The cake makes its mark in Secret Recipe’s extensive lineup by offering a refreshing balance between its more indulgent chocolate-based creations and lighter spongier options. The bridge in the gap caters to those who crave decadence and those who seek a refreshing fruit-infused dessert.

“The Mango Yoghurt Cheese represents the best of both worlds. It has both refreshing flavours and a luxurious texture, making it a versatile dessert that is perfect for any moment of togetherness,” said Evelyn Lee, Head of Marketing at Secret Recipe.

“Our goal is to create desserts that not only satisfy cravings but also spark meaningful connections, and we hope the Mango Yoghurt Cheese becomes a cherished part of our customers’ celebrations and memories. Whether you’re catching up with friends over tea, treating your family after dinner, or celebrating a special occasion, we believe this cake will bring a touch of joy to every gathering,” she added.

The Mango Yoghurt Cheese is priced at RM130 with a slice at RM13. The cake will be available in selected Secret Recipe outlets in Malaysia on 16 January, and in all outlets in Peninsular Malaysia on 23 January onwards.

For the past 28 years, Secret Recipe has been synonymous with offering exceptional cakes in a welcoming dining environment. With a commitment to quality and innovation, Secret Recipe continues to delight customers with a diverse menu of over 40 cakes, as well as a wide selection of pastries and dishes in over 370 outlets in Malaysia.
