Bake Your Way to a Magical Christmas with APCA Malaysia’s Christmas Dessert Class

December 3, 2024 by StrawberrY Gal

While Christmas is often associated with gifts and decorations, food remains at the heart of every celebration. Holiday desserts aren’t just about satisfying sweet cravings—they hold the power to create memories, connect families, and even drive entrepreneurial dreams. This year, the Academy of Pastry & Culinary Arts (APCA) Malaysia offers a unique way for pastry enthusiasts to embrace the holiday spirit through its Christmas Dessert Class, happening on 7th and 8th December 2024.

In recent years, home baking has become more than just a hobby for many Malaysians—it has turned into a creative outlet and, for some, a thriving business venture. From baking for loved ones to selling handmade treats, this trend highlights how a passion for food can spark innovation and connection.

APCA’s workshop goes beyond teaching recipes, offering participants the chance to hone their skills under the guidance of its award-winning chefs. Whether you are a home baker looking to perfect holiday favourites or a budding entrepreneur seeking to expand your repertoire, this workshop caters to all skill levels.

“This workshop isn’t just about learning to bake; it’s about creating something meaningful. Baking brings people together—it’s an act of love, creativity, and tradition. For those running pastry businesses or aspiring to start one, these skills can also become a source of income and pride,” said Chef Niklesh Sharma, Founder of APCA Malaysia.

Chef Niklesh further highlighted how mastering timeless recipes can add value to a pastry business, helping entrepreneurs create products that stand out in a competitive market. “Customers today value authenticity and craftsmanship. These festive creations allow bakers to spread joy while elevating their brand.”

An Inclusive Learning Experience

The workshop welcomes participants of all skill levels, whether you are a seasoned baker or someone eager to explore baking for the first time, promising participants to walk away with both new skills and a deeper appreciation for the art of pastry.

The workshop’s curated menu combines timeless holiday classics and creative modern twists, including Gingerbread House, Passion Fruit Chocolate Yule Log, Baked Alaska, and more.
