TANYU Opens Third Malaysian Outlet at Sunway Pyramid, Featuring a Modern Chinese Concept

 Sunway Pyramid, 28 October 2024 – Fans of Chinese grilled fish can now savour the flavours of TANYU (探鱼烤鱼) at its latest outlet in Sunway Pyramid. Renowned for its signature dish, Grilled Fish with Fresh Green Pepper (鲜青椒烤鱼), TANYU originated in Shenzhen, China, and has since expanded to over 300 outlets across the Asia-Pacific region. Since its launch, the brand has quickly gained popularity in Shenzhen, achieving an impressive table turnover rate of 16 times per day.

Following successful openings at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur and 1 Utama, this new outlet at Sunway Pyramid marks the introduction of TANYU’s first and only “Modern Chinese Concept” restaurant in Malaysia. The concept blends traditional accents with contemporary elements, creating a chic and culturally rich dining atmosphere.

MODERN CHINESE INTERIOR

Upon entering, diners are greeted by striking cultural décor, including heritage fish lanterns (中国非遗鱼灯), symbolising prosperity, and the enchanting Carp Leaping Over the Dragon Gate (鲤鱼跃龙门) motif, which represents success and ambition in Chinese culture. Additional features, such as traditional Chinese plaque signs (中式金字牌匾), coloured glaze flower windows (琉璃花窗), and Teochew oil paper lanterns (潮汕油纸灯笼), further reflect the richness of Chinese heritage.

Enhancing the unique ambience, the interior is adorned with vintage items, including antique radios, bottles, and old televisions, adding a nostalgic touch to the modern design. Spanning a spacious 1,873 square feet, the restaurant features over 27 tables and can accommodate up to 94 diners. Seating options include intimate 2-pax tables, cosy 4-pax tables for small groups, and spacious 6-pax round tables for larger gatherings. A key highlight of this restaurant is the free-flow ice jelly bar, available to all diners for just RM 5.90 per person.

“RED FIESTA MENU” EXCLUSIVE TO THIS OUTLET AT SUNWAY PYRAMID

To celebrate the opening of TANYU’s third outlet at Sunway Pyramid, the restaurant will introduce the exclusive “Red Fiesta Menu” (红番天菜单), available only at this location. This menu features new red-themed dishes that showcase rich flavours, including Grilled Fish with Fresh Tomato (酸甜番茄烤鱼), Cherry Tomato with Sour Plum (酸梅小番茄), Lychee Shrimp Ball (荔枝虾球), Dry Pot Organic Cauliflower (干锅有机花菜), and the Jumbo Rosé Drink (嚣张玫瑰桶).

Grilled Fish with Fresh Tomato (酸甜番茄烤鱼) (From RM 119.90 onwards)

This signature dish is now served in a rich and tangy tomato broth, combining the perfect balance of sweet and sour, with a subtle hint of spice that tantalises the taste buds.

Cherry Tomato with Sour Plum (酸梅小番茄) (RM 9.90)

This dish features plump cherry tomatoes, each bursting with juiciness and enhanced by the unique tartness of sour plum. Best served as a starter, it acts as a refreshing palate cleanser.

Lychee Shrimp Ball (荔枝虾球) (RM 18.80)

This dish features a crispy outer layer encasing a succulent, bouncy shrimp filling.

Dry Pot Organic Cauliflower (干锅有机花菜) (RM 28.80)

This dish showcases the crisp and fresh taste of dry pot cauliflower, perfectly cooked to retain its crunch without being greasy. It pairs well with rice, making it an ideal addition to a grilled fish meal.

Jumbo Rosé Drink (嚣张玫瑰桶) (RM 47.90)

A sweet and fragrant beverage that perfectly balances richness with refreshing notes. This romantic drink is the ideal companion to round off your meal.

PROMOTIONS DURING TANYU’S SOFT AND GRAND OPENING

TANYU will open its doors for a soft opening on 15th November 2024, where exclusive discounts will be available for TANYU members on their bills. From 23rd November onwards, TANYU will celebrate its Grand Opening with promotional dishes and exciting performances, including a lion dance, face-changing acts, and a special mascot appearance.
