Garena partners Samsung Electronics for the next two seasons of Free Fire World Series Southeast Asia

September 11, 2024 by StrawberrY Gal

Leading mobile games developer and publisher Garena, together with Samsung Electronics, a global smartphone leader, have jointly announced a multi-season partnership for the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) Southeast Asia.

As part of the partnership, finalists in FFWS Southeast Asia 2024 Fall and 2025 Spring will be equipped with the Galaxy S24 Ultra. One of Samsung’s latest flagship devices powered by Galaxy AI, the Galaxy S24 Ultra boasts a powerful performance and immersive display, which is awesome for hours of uninterrupted, high-octane, gameplay.

This regional partnership follows Samsung’s recent tie-ups with local Free Fire leagues in Indonesia and Brazil, which saw the sponsorship of devices during the Grand Finals, together with the launch of co-branded packages and skins.

“We are committed to providing outstanding gaming experiences to passionate gamers and are excited to announce our collaboration with Garena for the next two seasons of the Free Fire World Series Southeast Asia. We trust that this partnership will offer an epic gaming experience and fulfill the Galaxy brand’s pledge of ‘Life opens up with Galaxy’,” said VP Jung Suh, Head of Digital Commerce of Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics.

Enhanced Gaming Experience on the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra

Players can unleash their full potential with the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, which boasts an immersive viewing experience on the 6.8-inch display as well as more lifelike visuals with ray tracing. Players can also expect performance efficiency with 1-120 Hz adaptive refresh rates, and an optimal thermal control system that improves device surface temperature while maximizing sustained performance power.

Catch the action as FFWS SEA 2024 Fall commences this weekend

FFWS Southeast Asia 2024 Fall kicks off this Friday on August 16, featuring 18 teams from across Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Malaysia. The tournament will start with six weekends of the online Knockout Stage, before wrapping up in Surabaya, Indonesia, for the Grand Final weekend from October 11 to 13.

The champion will not only be awarded the biggest slice of the USD300,000 prize pool, but will also win a seat in the iconic FFWS Global Finals 2024, alongside the other seven top teams from this regional tournament. The tournament slogan, “Fight For Legacy,” hence encapsulates the journey of players as they battle against all odds to cement their status as the best in the region.

Participants comprise 5 teams each from Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam, as well as 3 teams from Malaysia. They are:

● Thailand: Buriram United Esports, Team Falcons, Twisted Minds, All Gamers Global, Attack All Around

● Indonesia: EVOS Divine, RRQ Kazu, Indostars, Bigetron Delta, ONIC Olympus

● Vietnam: P Esports, WAG, Heavy, GOW Esports, HUA Esports

● Malaysia: EXPAND, TODAK, TEAM VAMOS
