Sum Hou Express Bak Kut Teh @ Wisma Cosway

July 25, 2024 by StrawberrY Gal

When it comes to Bak Kut Teh, there are numerous places that serve a commendable version of this beloved dish. During a recent visit to the city centre, we discovered a delightful spot where we could enjoy Bak Kut Teh and other delectable dishes without straining our wallets, particularly during lunch hours. Our culinary adventure led us to Sum Hou, located at Wisma Cosway.

Situated on Level 1 of the mall, Sum Hou is a small café that offers a diverse selection of lunch options. The variety of dishes available at Sum Hou ensures there is something to satisfy every palate, whether you’re craving their renowned Bak Kut Teh or other tasty offerings.

We began our meal with the fried wanton. These crispy, golden bites were fried to perfection, boasting a delightful crunch on the outside and a flavorful, meaty filling on the inside.

Next, we sampled the Grilled Seafood with Sambal. The generous portion of fresh seafood, combined with the spicy kick of sambal, made for an indulgent and aromatic dish that left us wanting more.

The Curry Chicken proved to be another highlight. Served with hot mantao, the thick curry broth was rich and flavorful, making every bite a divine experience.

Of course, we couldn’t miss out on the Bak Kut Teh. This dish lived up to its reputation, featuring a herbal soup that was rich in flavor and generous chunks of tender meat. It was a comforting and satisfying choice.

We concluded our meal with the Sang Har Mee, which did not disappoint. The dish featured large prawns in an egg gravy, served with crispy noodles, creating a superbly delicious finale to our dining experience.

Sum Hou at Wisma Cosway offers an array of delectable dishes that cater to diverse tastes, making it an excellent choice for a satisfying lunch. The quality and variety of food, combined with reasonable prices, ensure that every visit is a culinary delight worth savoring.
