HONOR Talents Global Design Awards 2024 Open for Submissions, Total Prize Over RM621,000 to be Won

 The HONOR Talents Global Design Awards 2024 have just begun, encouraging young creative talents to explore the boundless possibilities of technology and art fusion. With the theme ‘Inspire the Future’, HONOR Malaysia is calling local university and college students to participate in this prestigious competition. Winners will not only take-home cash prizes but also have their artwork featured in HONOR products and international exhibitions. 

HONOR Malaysia is collaborating with local institutions ATEC College, Era Technology Communication Art & Design, Multimedia University (MMU), Taylor’s University, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) to empower students represent the country to showcase their most innovative artistic styles in the world stage. 

Win over RM621,000 total worth of prizes, HONOR’s latest products along with benefits

Participants can submit their art works to the HONOR Talents Global Design Awards official website by 30 September 2024 dan stand a chance to win over RM547,000 total worth of cash prize. Winners will be selected by a judging panel consists of world-renowned photographers and industry professionals. In addition, HONOR Malaysia will be including a total RM74,000 worth of HONOR’s latest smartphones, tablets, and wearables for the winners.

A range of benefits also awaits winners, including employment opportunities, their work implemented in HONOR products and exhibition, expedited certification through the Developer Fast Track program, and an exclusive invitation to the Art and Tech Tour in China. 

The newly introduced Art and Tech China Tour offers winners an opportunity to visit HONOR’s headquarters, partner universities and institutions. This experience allows them to gain valuable insights from fellow artists and industry experts that can enhance their design skills and industry understanding.

The HONOR Talents Global Design Awards 2024 consist of two categories: Visual Communication Design and Art and Technology. These categories are divided into six tracks: Themes, Magic Lock Screen, Standby, Watches, Accessories, and Art and Technology. The Magic Lock Screen and Standby tracks focus on new features within HONOR’s latest operating system, MagicOS 8.0. This allows students to fully unleash their creativity and deliver a more personalized, visually stunning smart experience for consumers.

There are a total of 93 awards which include the Global 1st Place, winners and runners-up in each track, Best New Talent Award, Judges’ Choice Award, AIGC Innovation Award, and Best Interactive Participation Award. 

Malaysian students’ designs showcased at UN headquarters, New York

The 2023 competition saw six Malaysian artworks receive six international awards. Two of the winners from UiTM and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) also participated in creating a dragon themed artwork that was displayed in the United Nations (UN) headquarters in New York earlier this year.

Since its launch in 2020, the HONOR Talents Global Design Awards has as gained widespread acclaim as an esteemed initiative. Over the past four years, HONOR has received over 25,000 submissions from more than 40 markets and 240 universities worldwide, with over half of the participants being university students, establishing it as a global stage for young talents to showcase their capabilities. 

As it enters its fifth year, the awards continue to garner recognition as a leading global platform for the convergence of art and technology. Collaborating with exceptionally talented designers, HONOR aims to infuse cutting-edge artistic concepts into its technology products, solidifying its reputation as a trailblazer in the industry.
