Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur Introduces Exclusive Bridgerton Afternoon Tea in Collaboration with Netflix and Shondaland

June 7, 2024 by StrawberrY Gal

Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur is thrilled to unveil its exclusive collaboration with Netflix and Shondaland’s highly acclaimed series, Bridgerton. In celebration of the much-anticipated launch of Season 3, Horizon Grill on Level 58 will host the Bridgerton Afternoon Tea, bringing a taste of Regency-era elegance to the heart of Kuala Lumpur

Drawing inspiration from the beloved Netflix series, Bridgerton Afternoon Tea offers guests a luxurious experience that blends the charm of the Regency era with the modern sophistication of Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur. This collaboration celebrates the timeless tradition of afternoon tea, inviting guests to indulge in a selection of delectable treats inspired by the world of Bridgerton.

“We are honored to be the exclusive partner in the Asia region for the highly anticipated Bridgerton Afternoon Tea, right here in Kuala Lumpur,” said Rudy Oretti, General Manager of Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur. “This collaboration allows us to offer our guests a unique and unforgettable experience, blending the elegance of Bridgerton with the luxurious setting of Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur.”

A Taste of Regency-Era Elegance

The Bridgerton Afternoon Tea at Horizon Grill features specially curated sweet and savory delicacies that reflect the opulence and glamour of the Bridgerton era. Guests can enjoy traditional English scones, delicate finger sandwiches, and exquisite pastries, all crafted to embody the elegance and sophistication of the period.

Chef Francesco Fedrighi, Executive Sous Chef of Horizon Grill, shared insights into the creative inspiration behind the menu. “Each pastry is created to signify the personality of the key characters throughout the Bridgerton series – from a refreshing basil and lime treat paying homage to Penelope’s breath of fresh air, to the mysterious Valrhona chocolate mousse pastry representing the tough exterior of Colin Bridgerton and his soft spot for Penelope,” he explained.

The afternoon tea menu includes the savoury bites where you can enjoy the Smoked Salmon with Smoked Cream Cheese, Truffle Egg with Chicken Ham, Organic Cucumber with the Natural Yogurt and Mint as wellas the Coronation Chicken and Fresh Coriander

As for the sweets, we enjoyed the Colin The Chamber which is the Valhorna Chocolate Mousse Dome which is amazingly delicious and comes with the thick, creamy Valhorna Chocolate. The Penelope’s Love  which is the Basil Lime Stone is another highlight. The set also comes with the Viscountess Kate which is the Matcha Green Tea & Passsion Fruit Compute as well the 9th Viscount which is the Vanilla & Caramel Mille-Feuille.

Enjoy them with their Classic Plain Scones and Raisin Scones which is served with the authentic Clotted Cream & Homemade Strawberry Jam.

These menu items are complemented by a selection of premium teas and coffees. Tea selections include Rose with French Vanilla and Green Tea with Jasmine Flowers, while coffee selections feature Espresso, Americano, and Caffe Latte, among others.

“Spill The Tea” is priced at RM188nett per person and is served from 3pm to 5pm daily.
