Kyomo Kohi @ New Ocean World

 Recently, we visited a delightful new spot called “Kyomo Kohi,” located in the new eateries mall known as “New Ocean World.” The charm of “Kyomo Kohi” immediately drew us in.

“Kyomo” means “today” or “daily” in Japanese, a name that perfectly captures the spirit of this Japanese-inspired café. Specializing in artisanal coffee, cakes, and flaky pastries, Kyomo Kohi offers a serene escape with its minimalist, Kyoto-style atmosphere. The café’s design reflects Kyoto’s renowned coffee culture, where food is crafted with precision, and even androids contribute to the unique service experience.

Kyomo Kohi is an oasis of calm in the bustling city. Here, handpicked baristas bring a haute-cuisine-like meticulousness to their craft, using specialty beans to create exceptional coffee. The menu includes classics such as lattes, cappuccinos, and espressos, along with hand brews and made-to-order off-menu brews that are sure to satisfy any coffee connoisseur.

Scones with Cream & Jam

The scones are delightful, with a perfect balance of taste and texture. They pair beautifully with the accompanying jam and cream, making for a satisfying treat.

French Toast with Smoked Salmon

This dish offers a harmonious blend of sweet and savory flavors. The French toast is soft yet firm, topped generously with smoked salmon and a variety of greens, creating a delicious and visually appealing meal.

Japanese Curry Rice and Chicken Karaage  

A fantastic combination of crispy deep-fried chicken karaage served with fragrant, creamy Japanese curry. The chicken is perfectly golden brown, and the curry is rich and flavorful, making this dish a highlight of our visit.

Homemade Toast with Seasonal Butter (Sourdough Cranberry/ Country Sourdough/ Sourdough Walnut)

We loved the toast options, which were fluffy and delicious. Each variant—Cranberry, Country, and Walnut Sourdough—was baked to perfection and paired wonderfully with the seasonal butter.

Lychee Rosey Oolong Iced

We ended our meal with this refreshing beverage. The Lychee Rosey Oolong Iced was nicely balanced and rejuvenating, offering a pleasant and flavorful finish to our dining experience.
