Domino’s Pizza Makes Grand Entrance in SarawakOpens Three Stores in Kuching!

May 3, 2024 by StrawberrY Gal

Sarawak in our hearts! Domino’s Pizza’s long-awaited arrival in Sarawak is finally here with the opening of three new stores in Kuching. This marks the first time the brand simultaneously opened three stores on the same day.

The grand launch event held at Domino’s Metro City, Kuching, gathered fans of all ages to the brand’s first-ever family carnival in Sarawak! Family and friends immersed themselves in a plethora of exciting activities, including unlimited servings of piping hot pizzas straight from Domino’s kitchen. For many Sarawakians, this marked their first taste of Domino’s Pizza, making it a memorable event!

Located at Metro City (270th store), Tabuan (271st store) and Jalan Green (272nd store), among the stores have officially begun serving customers its delicious freshly baked pizza since April 29, 2024. This expansion solidifies Domino’s Pizza Malaysia’s position as the largest Domino’s market in Southeast Asia. The brand now operates 272 stores, marking its 27th year in Malaysia.

Present during the grand launch held at Domino’s Metro City, Linda Hassan, Group Chief Marketing Officer, Domino’s Pizza Malaysia, Singapore and Cambodia said, “Sarawak has always been in our hearts and expanding into this new market is an incredibly exciting step for us. We are humbled to bring the delicious taste of Domino’s Pizza and our warm, friendly service to the people of Kuching. A lot of time, energy and resources have been invested by the Domino’s team to ensure the seamless launch of these stores. Our goal is to ensure that every customer in Sarawak enjoys not just a pizza, but an unforgettable Domino’s experience. We cannot wait for Sarawak customers to enjoy the Domino’s experience, including our unique offerings such as free delivery service and the ability to order up to two weeks in advance, amongst others.”

In preparation for its opening in Sarawak, Domino’s Pizza designed a dedicated training program to ensure the highest standards of quality and service. Recruiting more than 100 Sarawakians as part of its pioneer team, Domino’s provided them with an intensive three-month training program covering all aspects of operations ranging from pizza making, store management, order taking and delivery. This comprehensive training took place in Klang Valley, West Malaysia and Domino’s Pizza is proud to now have them back in Sarawak, serving their communities as valued members of the team.

“We are committed to enriching the lives of the community we operate in. With our expansion into Sarawak, we are pleased to be able to create employment opportunities for the locals here. We look forward to welcoming more team members to the Domino’s family, contributing to the local economy, and helping people lead better, more fulfilling lives,” Linda continued.

With a steadfast commitment to daily fresh dough, Domino’s Pizza is pleased to present its wide variety of menu options catering to meat lovers, chicken enthusiasts, and vegetarians alike. In addition to offering value-for-money offerings and promotions, Domino’s also extends its expertise as pizza delivery experts, ensuring Sarawakian pizza lovers can enjoy Absolutely Free Delivery with its 30-minute delivery guarantee or a Free Regular pizza to be redeemed on your next order. All these initiatives exemplify Domino’s commitment to its brand promise of “It’s All About Giving You More”.

Domino’s Pizza Malaysia upheld its brand promise by sharing this historic moment with the Sarawakian community that holds a special place in its heart, through a family carnival packed with exciting, family friendly activities for adults and children alike such as lucky draws, a singing contest, a pizza eating contest and entertaining performances, amongst others. Sarawakians also got to experience pizza making live, with Siti Fatimah, a three-time champion in Domino’s Pizza Fastest Pizza Maker Contest, taking the stage to showcase her skills.

In conjunction with the grand launch of its stores in Sarawak, Domino’s offers special promotions. Sarawak customers can enjoy 2 regular pizzas for only RM30 or indulge in Boxku for just RM9.90. These limited-time offers are exclusively available for Sarawak customers only. To learn more about Domino’s Pizza Malaysia’s as well as ongoing promotions, visit http://www.dominos.com.my/.
