foodpanda Malaysia rewards 70 high-performing delivery partners nationwide through its “Bonus Akhir Tahun” initiative

March 7, 2024 by StrawberrY Gal

In foodpanda Malaysia’s ongoing commitment to rewarding dedicated delivery partners, the leading online food and grocery delivery platform recognises 70 top-performing riders with brand-new motorcycles and cash prizes of over RM100,000 through its “Bonus Akhir Tahun” incentive program. This initiative underscores foodpanda’s dedication to elevating job satisfaction and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence across its delivery partner network nationwide.

Spanning from November 11 to December 31, 2023, the Bonus Akhir Tahun competition winners were awarded coveted prizes, including 14 brand-new Modenas Kriss 110 motorcycles, helmets for riders across Peninsular Malaysia, and cash rewards amounting to RM 2,500 for 14 riders, RM 2,000 for 13 riders, and RM 1,500 for 29 riders, in recognition of their exceptional service and dedication.

Shubham Saran, Head of Logistics at foodpanda Malaysia, emphasised the vital role of delivery partners in the company’s operations, stating, “Our riders are the backbone of foodpanda operations to ensure millions of Malaysians enjoy timely and reliable food and grocery deliveries. The ‘Bonus Akhir Tahun’ initiative reflects our ongoing efforts to acknowledge and reward our dedicated partners. Our award ceremony also comes just in time as we approach the Ramadan season, traditionally a time for gratitude and giving back.”

To qualify for participation in the competition, riders were required to fulfil several criteria, which include completing a minimum of 800 orders during the bonus period, demonstrating exemplary discipline, and maintaining a 90% order acceptance rate. Saran emphasised, “We aim to foster a spirit of healthy competition and boost morale, recognizing their indispensable role in our achievements.”

Abdul Rahman bin Dollah from Pahang, who placed first in the competition, shared: “When I first learned about this competition, I was determined to win and set my sights on reaching the second prize. To my astonishment, I clinched the top position and won this Modenas motorbike which surpassed all my expectations. This milestone marks a high point in my 3-year career journey with foodpanda, reaffirming my belief that hard work can yield rewarding results. Looking back, I’m grateful for the times I told myself not to give up and consistently challenged myself to deliver a certain amount of orders daily. ”

Another winner, Ahmad Nasri bin Roseli from Klang Valley, also shared: “Being recognized as one of the high achievers in the Bonus Akhir Tahun competition is surreal. I am blessed that my hard work of surpassing the number of deliveries I set for myself daily throughout the competition period has finally paid off. As foodpanda has been a big part of my life these past few years, winning this makes celebrating my foodpanda anniversary extra special and meaningful.”

This initiative honours the relentless efforts and unwavering commitment of foodpanda’s delivery partners and establishes a standard of excellence within the delivery service sector. It underscores foodpanda’s profound gratitude for its riders’ steadfast dedication to bringing happiness and fulfilment to customers nationwide.
