Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort and BDMS Wellness Clinic – A US$400 Million Wellness Campus – Completes Final Phase of Opening

January 26, 2024 by StrawberrY Gal

BDMS Wellness Campus has completed the final stage of its opening with the unveiling of BDMS Connect Center. Comprising BDMS Wellness Clinic, Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort, and the new MICE Center, the Campus offers a sustainable sanctuary in the heart of the city.

The visionary BDMS Connect Center

A beacon for the future of Meeting & Incentive Destinations in Bangkok, the visionary BDMS Connect Center is a leading force in state-of-the-art meeting and event facilities. Boasting over 3,400 square meters of dedicated meeting, exhibition, and social spaces, complemented by a rooftop bar, this exceptional venue, situated in the heart of Bangkok, provides an unparalleled setting for meetings, conventions, weddings, and exhibitions, with state-of-the-art technology.

“The BDMS Connect Center is truly unmatched. Highly functional, and with a focus on embracing sustainability and wellness, the space is truly unlike anything I have seen before, and the Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok team simply cannot wait to host exceptional events here.” said Dan Smith, General Manager of Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok. “We are delighted to unveil the final element of our Wellness complex including BDMS Wellness Clinic, Movenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok and BDMS Connect Center.”

The facility is LEED-certified, incorporating sustainability practices such as electric vehicle chargers, light-colored pavements, high-efficiency plumbing fixtures, and a photovoltaic system. Non-toxic building materials, LED bulbs, and recycled plastic carpets ensure a green and eco-friendly environment. Notable features include a 2.5-ton car lift, a VIP resting room, dedicated makeup facilities, and a hair and makeup room. A multitude of meeting spaces are equipped with cutting-edge AV technology, including an impressive 15x5M LED screen an 8×3 curved LED. Natural daylight floods through every corner of this facility including the Harmony ballroom, which features an 8-meter-high ceiling, while the Radient Junior ballroom boasts a 6-meter-high ceiling with Bangkok’s only skylight, connected to a rooftop bar. The purpose-built exhibition space and pillarless meeting rooms enhance the versatility of the facility.

BDMS Connect Center embodies a groundbreaking concept inspired by the layers of a forest ecosystem, creating a unique and immersive experience across its four distinct levels. At the Forest Floor level, which includes the Lobby Reception, Pre-Function, and Exhibitions areas including a cocktail platform and waterfall, the ambiance is akin to the bottom layer of a rainforest, essential for the ecosystem’s proper functioning. The Understory level features the Grand Ballroom, VIP Rooms, and Pre-Function area. Utilizing the Understory forest for grand events creates a one-of-a-kind experience, seamlessly bringing a touch of nature indoors.

Ascending to the Canopy level, encompassing Creative Rooms, Pre-Function areas, and a Makeup Room. Finally, the Emergents level features the Junior Ballroom, Creative Rooms, Pre-Function, and Outdoor Terrace, and represents the top layer of a forest. Drawing inspiration from the brightest and strongest trees, this level introduces a sense of awe and wonder. By incorporating the concept of Emergents into indoor spaces, BDMS Connect Center aims to offer a truly extraordinary environment that captivates visitors and underscores the importance of nature in contemporary design and event spaces, enabling guests to work at their best capacity.

Positioned as a sustainable urban oasis, BDMS Connect Center aims to establish a direct connection between Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) and nature, promoting the physical and emotional well-being of its visitors. A distinguishing feature of the center is its commitment to incorporating wellness elements into meetings and incentives, establishing a reputation for offering the most desirable wellness activities. From yoga sessions to mindfulness workshops and healthy catering options, the goal is to ensure that attendees value experiences that prioritize their wellbeing.

Thoughtfully-designed guest rooms

Rooms at Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok have been designed to foster relaxation and serenity; each is a haven of comfort equipped with modern amenities, ensuring a tranquil atmosphere for a rejuvenating stay. The stay experience features iHome sound therapy, a variety of pillows to ensure optimum sleeping conditions, yoga mats, fitness balls, and resistance bands, enabling guests to curate their own in-room wellness experience with an on-demand pre-recorded coaching program accessible on their television. All 211 rooms and suites boast a private balcony offering either city or garden views.

Inuitive, expert-led wellness programming

BDMS Wellness Clinic sits within the Campus, offering convenient access to world-class wellness facilities for guests. The Campus aims to propel the growth of the wellness sector in Thailand by introducing all-encompassing health programs that seamlessly integrate hotel stays while staying in the heart of the city. This joint initiative, labeled “BDMS Wellness Retreat,” covers a spectrum of wellness tourism and preventive medicine, aligning with Thailand’s vision to emerge as a leading global wellness destination. One of the highlights of Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort’s offerings is on-site health consultations and Retreat programs, seamlessly combined with Wellness Clinic experienced professionals.
