Celebrate New Year @ BAIT Bangsar KL

December 21, 2023 by StrawberrY Gal

Nestled amidst the bustling streets of Bangsar, BAIT Bangsar KL beckons as a testament to the pursuit of freshness and culinary excellence. Born from a casual conversation between two friends who shared a profound passion for the treasures of the ocean, BAIT emerged in 2012, offering seafood enthusiasts a gastronomic haven in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. This festive season, we revisited BAIT to explore their specially curated Christmas and New Year menu.

Oysters, mussels, prawns, fish, clams, squid – the ocean’s treasures find their zenith when savored in their freshest state. Recognizing the pivotal role that freshness plays in elevating the seafood dining experience, the founders of BAIT set out to fill a void in Kuala Lumpur’s culinary landscape. In 2012, BAIT Bangsar KL opened its doors, inviting diners on a journey of oceanic flavors and culinary excellence. More than a restaurant, BAIT became a celebration of the sea’s finest offerings, meticulously curated and presented to satisfy the most discerning palates.

As we stepped into BAIT Bangsar KL, the festive ambiance embraced us, setting the stage for a memorable culinary experience. The specially curated Christmas and New Year menu promised an array of delights, each dish a testament to BAIT’s commitment to quality and freshness.

Artisan Bread with Garlic and Chives Butter

We started off with the Artisan Bread accompanied by Garlic and Chives Butter. Crafted in-house, the bread was a testament to BAIT’s dedication to perfection, inviting diners to fall in love with each perfectly executed bite.

Starter : Oyster or Soup

The starter dilemma presented a choice between the premium Irish Oyster adorned with Ikura and Oyster Yuzu Emulsion, and the tantalizing Wild Forest Mushroom Soup with Parmesan Foam and Porcini Dust. Each option captivated our taste buds, showcasing BAIT’s mastery in balancing flavors.

Main:  King Prawn Risotto or Grilled Barramundi

The mains unfolded a symphony of flavors, featuring the King Prawn Risotto with Squid Stew and Grilled Sea King Prawns, and the Grilled Barramundi served with Ginger Clams and Bok Choy. The risotto, fluffy and flavorful, paired harmoniously with the succulent prawns, while the barramundi showcased perfect grilling and expertly paired accompaniments.

Desserts :  Chocolate Hazelnut Tart with Vanilla Gelato

As the culinary journey approached its conclusion, we indulged in the delightful Chocolate Hazelnut Tart served with Vanilla Gelato. A sweet finale that perfectly encapsulated the festive spirit.

The specially curated festive menu at BAIT Bangsar KL is priced at RM 179, inclusive of one glass of sparkling rose and complimentary Christmas cookies, ensuring that every diner leaves with a taste of the season.

This festive season, BAIT Bangsar KL once again proves itself as a culinary haven, inviting diners to savor the finest offerings from the ocean. From the meticulously crafted Artisan Bread to the flavorful mains and sweet endings, BAIT’s Christmas and New Year menu is a testament to their dedication to freshness, quality, and the joy of festive celebrations. Cheers to BAIT Bangsar KL – where every bite tells a tale of the sea and every visit becomes a cherished memory.
