TREETOP ADVENTURE PARK ROPE COURSE OPENS @ 1 UTAMA’S RAINFOREST

November 30, 2023 by StrawberrY Gal

1 Utama Shopping Centre is proud to introduce its highly anticipated rope course and brand new mall attraction set to redefine the leisure landscape for the whole family – Treetop Adventure Park!

Opening to the public on 28th November 2023, get ready to strap in for an immersive nature experience located in the heart of Malaysia’s 1st indoor Rainforest at 1 Utama – perfect for nature enthusiasts and thrill seekers alike.

Treetop Adventure is the latest addition to the mall’s unique Sports n’ Play leisure attractions, which includes surf centre FlowRider, indoor skydiving Windlab, Morac gokart, Korean rollerskating rink Rollerwa, Asia’s largest indoor rock climbing gym Camp5, 5-star PADI diving centre Sealantis, rooftop futsal Padang, Next genedutainment themepark and a skatepark.

Swing Through The Forest, One With Nature

A peaceful respite from the urban hustle and bustle, Treetop Adventure offers a fun family outing in the great outdoors right in the middle of the bustling 1 Utama Shopping Centre. The synergy between the adventure course and the indoor rainforest is where urban dwellers can find themselves suspended amidst greenery, indulging in an exhilarating escapade and educational exploration all at once.

Swing through the lush foliage and explore this custom-designed rope course spanning over 4,000 square feet, high up in the tree canopies in an adrenalin pumping adventure. Even mum and dad will love becoming kids again for the day.

“Climbers can tackle an array of aerial trails including traverse beams, balance obstacles, manoeuvre ropes, wobbly bridges, and zip lines, navigating from one tree platform to another. A testament to 1 Utama blending recreation, nature, and innovation into a seamless adventure integrated into 1 Utama’s Rainforest,” said Keith Looi, 1 Utama’s Mall Innovation Manager.

Nurturing Biodiversity

Guided by its commitment as Malaysia’s 1st Green Mall, 1 Utama’s dedication to environmental preservation shows in its exceptional Green Attractions where flora and fauna thrive. Aside from the Rainforest, 1 Utama has developed sanctuaries in the mall such as South East Asia’s largest rooftop garden The Secret Garden, an Arboretum and 10-acre Central Park. Commented Lee Li Lian, 1 Utama’s Public Relations and Sustainability Senior Manager,

“To safeguard existing trees in the rainforest and minimize environmental impact during the construction of Treetop Adventure, we ensured that the rope courses were constructed from platforms nestled around tree trunks that enable our native trees to continue their development and growth naturally.”

“Our award-winning Rainforest currently houses more than 100 authentic forest trees,

including some sourced from Sabah and Sarawak. Rare species like the Amesiodendron chinense, a prime scientific exhibit in the Rainforest and the Tabebuia rosea, the very first tree to be planted in the Rainforest, were untouched and preserved at their present location.”

Climb With Confidence

The highest safety standards is paramount at Treetop Adventure. Participants will receive a safety briefing, secure climbing harness and gear on-site. A team of dedicated staff are always ready to assist with expert guidance. Treetop Adventure is also a great way for visitors to delve into nature and improve fitness and dexterity while swinging, leaping, climbing and flying through the forest.

• Adult Zone: Adrenaline junkies or amateurs can challenge themselves in this two-layered course. With varying levels of difficulties extending over 100 meters, there are a total of 11 unique obstacles on each level to match all abilities.
