Lou Lou James: A Culinary Journey of Italian Elegance in Desa ParkCity

The journey to Lou Lou James begins even before you set foot inside. Desa ParkCity, with its blend of urban sophistication and lush greenery, sets the perfect backdrop for a restaurant that marries traditional European charm with contemporary elegance. 

As you approach Lou Lou James, its warm lighting and rustic design elements beckon, hinting at the culinary treasures that await within.

The interiors of Lou Lou James seamlessly blend the old with the new. Dark wood furnishings, reminiscent of old-world Italian taverns, stand in harmonious contrast to the modern, minimalist décor. Soft, ambient music fills the air, allowing for intimate conversations, while the gentle clinking of cutlery and glass punctuates the atmosphere. The setting is immediately inviting, a space where one can relax and unwind, and truly savor the joy of a shared meal.

Summer Salad

The Summer Salad is a refreshing and vibrant starter of the meal today.  The Summer Salad served as an invigorating kickoff to our meal, embodying the vibrancy and zest of the season. This dish was an ensemble of carefully curated ingredients: sweet corn’s delicate sweetness, the crisp bite of Japanese cucumber, the juicy burst of cherry tomatoes, the hearty texture of chickpeas, the savory hint of black olives, and the zesty touch of pickled onions. Tying it all together was a delightful pesto dressing, infusing the salad with an aromatic herbaceousness.

Pan Seared Scallop & Pumpkin Risotto

This is one of the signatures and a must to go for. The succulent Hokkaido Scallop is perfectly seared bringing you with the golden crusts with the tender bites. They rested gracefully upon a bed of pumpkin seaweed risotto, a mosaic of colors and flavors. The risotto, bathed in a rich and creamy consistency, bore the sweet undertones of pumpkin melded with the profound umami of seaweed, creating a symphony of tastes. With the  finishing touches of rich French butter and the tantalizing depth of fish sauce that transformed this dish from remarkable to transcendent

Crispy Buttermilk Chicken Burger

For those who are big fans of burger, here is the twist. A delightful nod to comfort food, the crispy buttermilk chicken burger delivers flavor in spades for those looking for a laid-back yet mouthwatering treat. At its heart is a tender chicken thigh, marinated to perfection and encased in a crispy, golden batter that crunches with every bite. This juicy centerpiece is cradled within a soft, buttery brioche bun, complemented by the tangy crunch of red cabbage slaw. A drizzle of honey mustard sauce brings a sweet and zesty twist, culminating in a burger experience that is both comforting and tantalizingly indulgent. Love it! 

Pan Seared Salmon with Spinach & Lemon Beurre Blanc Sauce

The Salmon is masterfully seared, its exterior crisping up to a golden hue while the inside remained delightfully tender and flaky. Nestled against this was the velvety embrace of creamy spinach, which brought a comforting earthiness. Drizzled atop was the pièce de résistance: a luscious lemon beurre blanc sauce. It introduced a citrusy zest that lifted the dish, making it both rich and refreshing.

Veal Wellington 

Paying homage to the grandeur of French gastronomy, the Veal Wellington stood as an epitome of opulence on the plate The European veal tenderloin, tender and dripping with rich flavors, found its perfect embrace within a flaky, golden puff pastry. Accompanying this was a cloud-like creamy mash, the earthy depth of mushroom duxelles, and the aromatic decadence of a truffle pancake. Drizzles of a robust red wine reduction and a sprinkle of fresh microgreens added layers of complexity to the plate.

Seafood Tomyam Pasta

An adventurous melding of East meets West, the Seafood Tomyam Pasta exceeded all expectations. This culinary wonder wove together the fiery essence of Thai tom yum with the comforting embrace of Italian pasta. Nestled within this flavorful fusion were succulent black mussels and perfectly grilled wild prawns, all basking in the vibrant glow of a housemade tom yum paste. Each forkful delivered a dance of flavors—spicy, tangy, and deeply savory

Mango Panna Cotta 

To conclude our culinary journey, we were presented with the Mango Panna Cotta, which undeniably stole the spotlight for the evening. This dessert was a symphony of lush, tropical mango atop a velvety, creamy base. Each spoonful was a harmonious blend of sweetness and creaminess, transporting us to a realm of sheer indulgence.

Overall, every dish served was a canvas, painted with the vibrant hues of Italy, each bite resonating with the sheer culinary brilliance of the chefs behind the scenes. The ambiance was an ode to comfort and sophistication, and when paired with the staff’s impeccable attention to detail, it crafted an experience akin to a warm embrace.

In essence, Lou Lou James is Desa ParkCity’s well-kept secret, gifting patrons with authentic Italian flavors that linger long after the last bite. Be it a refined date night or a cheerful gathering with friends, the restaurant effortlessly caters to all palates and occasions.
