Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur is proud to welcome Peter D. Gibbons back as its General Manager in its latest chapter of evolution. No stranger to the hotel brand from helming its operations as its General Manager from 2012 to 2019, Gibbons returns with strong strategies to put the 5-star hotel back on the local lifestyle map, supported by his intimate knowledge of the brand DNA and 38 years of experience in senior management positions in hospitality across five continents.
On top of overseeing the overall smooth running of the hotel and ensuring it remains top notch in its offering, customer experience and service delivery, Gibbons seeks to pay particular focus on the brand’s strong community pillar and CSR projects to drill home the position of the hotel as a hospitality brand that’s by the people for the people.
On a personal end, he hopes to bring more of an international approach to the Grand Millennium brand of hospitality while still staying true to its roots as one of the pioneering hotels in Kuala Lumpur’s hosting and dining scene.

During this time with the hotel, he saw to the continued redevelopment programme and repositioning of this prime property, including the restructuring of the operating departments to ensure that the hotel stayed as a city leader.
Come 2019, he took three years off to work on passion projects of his own, including lecturing stints with Wall Street English to help multi-national professionals enhance their verbal and written English, as well as independent consulting for hospitality projects.
This year, he returns to Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur as its General Manager with a renewed vigour to grow alongside the hotel and cementing its position as the prime place for celebrations, get-togethers and meetings for both work and play.
Through focus on people, community and projects that give back, Gibbons spearheads the hotel’s new vision of being the place where traditions are cherished and lasting memories are made, no matter if you’re living in the city and looking for an escape, or on a stop on a greater journey called life.
This will be rolled out in accordance with the hotel’s longstanding reputation as the place for globally recognized facilities, quality food and beverage offerings and international service delivery.
