Sum Hou Bak Kut Teh @ Desa Sri Hartamas

November 15, 2022 by StrawberrY Gal

Bak Kut Teh is one of our staple food. At times, we traveled all way to Kepong, and Klang to enjoy a decent bak kut teh. But now, we don’t need to travel far to enjoy my favorite bak kut teh as now I can find this in Desa Sri Hartamas.

Sum Hou Bak Kut Teh is definitely a place worth the visit where they are serving bak kut teh as well as some ala-carte dishes. The restaurant does not have much fancy decoration but is decently decorated clean and has friendly staff.

In Sum Hou BKT, you can find a wide variety of meat where have pork belly, pork ribs, soft ribs, lean meat, big bone, pork knuckle, pork intestine, pork stomach, pork liver, pork kidney, and many more. Choose your choice of meat and you can also mix it around. The soup is superbly good and they are complete with aromatic herbs aroma in it. The meat is good too and I am in love with the overall taste of it.  We will definitely make a comeback for this.

Asides from that, we also ordered some mushrooms as well. Most of the time, we ended with disappointment because the mushroom taste will be overpowered the soup itself but in Sum Hou, we were still able to enjoy the soup as it is and they are so good and delicious.

Asides from Bak Kut Teh, Sum Hou do serve a variety choice of ala0carte delights which are definitely worth going for.

Asam Pedas Sting Ray

We love how the Asam Sting Ray is being served. It simply tastes like home and I love the sourish spicy blend in it. We love the flavors of the dish itself and not just that, the fish comes simply fresh too. Super recommend

Steam Prawns

The Steam Prawns is definitely a must-order as my daughter indeed falls in love with it. The egg white added to the fresh prawns makes the best combination, and each mouthful of it is so good and delicious. The prawns are fresh and every bite is a total indulgence.

Yellow Wine Clams

For those who love to have some clams, try their yellow wine clams. We understand that their yellow wine clams are simply different from many as the yellow wine is made in-house using their home recipe. The yellow wine clams come with an aromatic hint and the clams are fresh and delicious.

Egg Bomb Beancurd

Not just that, their Egg Bomb Beancurd is indeed a bomb. They are just perfectly delicious where the beancurd is soft and silky and bring you a melt-in-the-mouth sensation. Deliciously good and I can give a double thumbs up.

For those who are looking for a wholesome delight, here is definitely the place to visit where Sum Hou BKT not only bring you the awesome delicious bak kut teh but their ala-carte dishes are impressive too.
