Kancil Raja Pais ( KRP) @ Danau Kota : Best Tempoyak in Town!

September 29, 2022 by StrawberrY Gal

As we know, Temerloh is a place which is famed for tempoyak patin. Among many, one of the outlets which is famous for this menu is Kancil Raja Pais aka KRP (formerly known as Kancil Raja Patin). Originating from Temerloh, Kancil Raja Pais aka KRP (KRP) is located just next to Sungai Pahang and you can enjoy the beautiful view of the Pahang River when you are there.

And now, you do not need to go all the way to Temerloh to enjoy theis famous Kancil Raja Pais (KRP) RP as they have opened their outlet now at Danau Kota. Here one can enjoy a wide variety of dishes all the way from Termeloh.

For those who are not aware, Tempoyak is made by taking the flesh of durian and mixing it with some salt and kept in room temperature for 3 – 5 days for fermentation. And what makes Kancil Raja Pais aka KRP’s tempoyak special is they contains 13 different spices that added in to make this exquisite flavours.

Honestly, I am not a big fan of Tempoyak but after visiting Kancil Raja Pais aka KRP in Danau Kota, I can say I love them now.

We started our meals with their Sotong Salut Tepong Sos Tempoyak ONLY at RM 25. The squid is beautifully coated and deep fried till perfection. It is served with the Sos Tempoyak by the side. The squid is fresh and they are marinated with spices making a little spicy. Dipped them with the sauce and you are sold with it as it is crunchy, and filled with the aromatic taste in it.

As for the Udang Salut Tepong Sos Tempoyak ( RM 25) , the prawns are simply fresh and juicy. They are perfectly battered and then deep fried till perfection bringing you with the perfect flavours in it. This is so addictive and delicious.

Asides from that, one can enjoy the wholesome Kancil Raja Pais aka KRP’s Sifud Pais Tempoyak. The wholesome dish comes with the squid, prawns and vegetables in one bowl. The seafood comes fresh and the tempoyak taste is not too overpowering but it is nice to go for. They are fragrantly done!

Asides from this, Kancil Raja Pais aka KRP’s their signature Ikan Patin Tempoyak is a must try here. The Ikan Patin Tempoyak comes really good and addictive. Most importantly, the fish is fresh and there is no mud taste in it which makes the dish even perfect.

At In Kancil Raja Pais aka KRP ; they have so much to offer beside Ikan Patin Tempoyak , they have other selection of delights to go for such as Set Patin Kayu Api, Set Gulai Patin Tempoyak, Ayam Goreng, Keli Pais Bakar and many more.

Overall, the food at Kancil Raja Pais aka KRP here is absolutely delicious and we definitely return to enjoy more of their other dishes. Nevertheless, the restaurant comes clean, and the staff are really helpful and friendly too.

For those who are looking to enjoy these awesome delights all the way from Temerloh, you should visit Kancil Raja Pais aka KRP them now. Asides from dining takeaway, cod, and delivery,  one can opt to enjoy the famous Temerloh delicacies with their unique drive-through option too!
