As October draws near, the celebration begins! This month end, Resorts World Genting (RWG) heralds the return of Starlight Festival 2022, a much-anticipated open-air carnival that combines dazzling lights, live music, street food and festive entertainment.
Say “cheers” to a festival under the stars
Happening exclusively at Central Park and Madison Square from 6pm every Thursday till Saturday from 29 September till 15 October 2022, Starlight Festival promises non-stop excitement and entertainment until the wee hours with a plethora of fun activities.
Walk through Asteroid Arcade under a blanket of stars to view various street performances and stop by the pop-up stalls for merchandise, face-painting, skill games and photo booths. Once you have worked up an appetite from all the walking, fuel up at the pop-up food stalls. You will be spoilt for choice from the various offerings from Harry Ramsden World Famous Fish & Chips, Jetpack – Coffee & Fast Fuels to Trattoria IL Lago – Simply Italian.
With your appetite satiated, stroll to the Lake of Dreams for a mesmerizing fountain show. Enjoy the music of buskers, The Pockets Mimers and be awed by the head-turning LED-dance moves of the iridescent-costumed “nouveau cirque” troupe, PsycuSix as they take centre-stage at the Central Loop!
To give your legs a rest, head on over to Madison Square where our emcees will be hyping up the atmosphere and Starlight Dancers dressed in blinged-up dirndls (Bavarian traditional folk costumes) await. As multi-coloured strobe lights and laser beams dart about the spacious transparent tent under the starry night sky, sip on a sundowner or two and nibble on cheese nachos as you chill with friends and family to some great music performances on the grand stage.
To kick off the first week of live entertainment, Malaysian band 9 Lives and Coen & Danz will be rocking the stage alongside the sick beats of DJ Hazel and DJ Crossfinger. In week two, international tribute act Killer Queen from Italy and local bands, Chek Dou and Jukebox will raise the bar accompanied by the sick beats of DJ Vgene and DJ Keith Mint. Wrapping up Starlight Festival 2022 in week three, the Australian Bee Gees will rock the stage along with Chek Dou, with supporting music from Jukebox.

Starlight Festival 2022 is a free admission event. Madison Square is open only to non-Muslims aged 21 and above.
