Crazy Rich Flavours Twist to a Time-Honoured Tradition by Oversea

August 2, 2022 by StrawberrY Gal

As Mid Autumn Festival is around the corner, is time to grab your mooncakes from Overseas Restaurant. Since its establishment in the 1970s, progressiveness while retaining traditional value has always been the fundamental concept of Oversea when presenting their delectable contemporary Chinese cuisine. With the Mid-Autumn Festival approaching, Oversea is proud to announce their 2022 Mooncake Edition in accordance with this year’s theme: Crazy Rich Flavours, taking inspiration from the 2018 film, Crazy Rich Asians.
Mooncakes are one of the key highlights of the Mid-Autumn festival. Other than being a food item, it is also symbolic as the roundness of the mooncake represents completeness, togetherness and harmony. This year, Oversea proves in retaining tradition while innovating by releasing a wide assortment of mooncakes with unique palates, true to the theme Crazy Rich Flavours. The Lava Series will be this year’s highlight with flavours such as Matcha Lava Mooncake, Custard Lava Mooncake, and Durian Lava Mooncake that is sure to tempt your tastebuds. Not to forget other options such as the Baked Series and Snowy Series, there is bound to be something for everyone with this large variety of choices.
These mooncakes are produced with top quality ingredients imported from countries such as the United States and Japan, without preservatives and stored in high-food-grade plastic packaging that helps preserve the mooncake quality. This wide assortment of mooncakes will be available for purchase at Oversea Restaurants in Imbi, Sri Petaling, Ipoh, Genting outlets and their website at www.overseamy.com from now till 10th September 2022.
In addition to innovating taste and palate, special thought is also given to this year’s mooncake packaging. Oversea is proud to present this year’s Crazy Rich Flavours vibrant gift set. Gracefully adorned with blooming floral designs and vivid colours to complement the Crazy Rich mooncake flavours, it is sure to make a strong impression on everyone.
Moonlight Swirl
Other than mooncakes, Oversea Restaurant will be introducing a brand-new Mid-Autumn platter this year, the Moonlight Swirl. Inspired by the lou sang typically enjoyed during Chinese New Year, Oversea Restaurant is the only establishment to promote the lou sang to commemorate auspicious luck and celebrate the spirit of reunion and togetherness during the Mid-Autumn season. Served alongside the head chef’s hand-picked Mid-Autumn set menu, diners will get to experience the pleasure of tossing lou sang and wrapping it before enjoying the sapid flavours and the succulent wrap.
With exciting and palatable flavours in store this year, a Crazy Rich time is all but guaranteed when dining with Oversea Restaurant.
