June 15, 2022 by StrawberrY Gal

For those who are looking for a new phone, Huawei P50 is now in Malaysia. Bringing it to Malaysia, Huawei P50 Series reborn and bringing you a NEW Series and signalled you with the brand-NEW look. The Smart phone give you a totally different experience and it is indeed a great one too.
The Design
The Huawei P50 looks beautiful at first glance. The device looks elegent at the first look with the nice furnishing and we had the Cocao Gold phone on our hand. They give us an elegant touch with the bling bling furnish that makes it perfect at anytime look
The phone starts with 181 grams and offers a slim body of 7.92mm thickness even though it offers a massive battery under the hood. The design comes simply impressive with the solid feel on the hand.
The Colours
The Huawei P50 completes with 2 awesome colours which is the Cocoa Gold and Golden Black.
The Display
The screen comes with the 6.5” inches screen size OLED screen. With the refresh rate up to 90Hz and 1440Hz high frequency PWM dimming, 300Hz touch sampling rate; you will be assured of the smooth transition rate too. As for the resolution, they  completes with the resolution of 2700 x 1224 Pixels. As for the screen, are  protected together with the anti-scratch where you do not need to worry about the scratches when you put the phone inside the bag.
The Camera
Talking about the camera, Huawei P50 is one of the phones which is driving the force with the legendry P Series. For me, I started using Huawei since the P9 series, to P10 and P20 which brings me with the smart photography with the intelligent algorithm.
And with the P50, the phone brings you with the iconic Dual-Matrix Camera Designs that see the characteristic of the PSeries. With the iconic Dual -Matrix Camera Designs, one can sees the incredible array of the high end lenses that working together in harmony. This is further enhanced by the ground-breaking HUAWEI XD Fusion Pro image engine and HUAWEI XD Optics technologies, as the HUAWEI P50 captures the essence of true photography and artistry.
The standard P50 has three rear shooters, with a 50MP main, 12MP periscope zoom and 12MP ultra-wide snapper. That’s a fair complement of cameras, with the periscope module supporting 5x optical zoom.
The Huawei P50 brings you with the 100 degrees ultra-wide angle True Chorma Selfie Camera System which is perfect for large group selfies and magnificent landscape. They also brings you with their colour engine which accurately captured the high-impact makeup, AI anti-distortions algorithms that can effectively prevent distortion issues for friends and squeezed the edges of the group selfies and AIS to improve the success of low-light sallies in it. It is also completed with the 14cm auto focus that support and ensures selfies are intimate, sharp and highly detailed too.
As for the back camera; The P50 completes with has 12MP telephoto , 50MP main, 40MP monochrome and 13MP ultra-wide cameras – that’s a series of very high-res snappers, with the periscope one apparently facilitating a head-scratching 200x digital zoom (as well as 3.5x optical). With this, you can take a detailed and awesome pictures with it.
Here are some of the pictures we took
Note: All photos taken without any editing
As for video, they come with only 4K Cinemetography. In here, one can enjoy the True-Form Dual – Matrix Camera supports 4K video recording on both the front and rear, allowing for crystal clear footage from every angle. The front, wide and main cameras support industry leading Super HDR Technology.
This delivers greatly optimised picture quality and generates richer and better- defined images, even in backlit scenarios. Dual-View Video mode now supports HD video recording on both the front camera and rear ultra-wide-angle camera. This means the subject and the person behind the camera can be in the frame together, giving a complete picture of your setting.
The Performance
The Huawei P50 also is another eye-opening phone. The phone completes with the SnapDragon 888 4G with the Octo-core processor. With the SnapDragon 888 4G with the Octo-core processor.  makes the overall experience much smoother. The gaming experience is awesome and thanks to the optimization. This is paired with 8GB RAM and the choice of 128GB or 256GB of storage.
With the awesome specs, playing game is no longer a problem especially on those PUBG mobile or Genshin Impact. We had tried them in playing games such as Genshin Impact and more and there is no lag at all after 1-2 hours of playing them.
As for apps, you do not have to worry. Huawei P50 bunded with the wide variety of apps that you need. It is bundle with messenger, tik tok, discord, wechat, telegram, booking.com, boost, cimb clicks, shopee, waze and many more. They also provide guidelines how to install the apps and you can find other apps you needs via Petal search.
The Battery
As for the battery, the are powering the phone at 4,100 mAH battery which is quite a sizeable battery performance where it can last almost a day. And the plus point is it comes with the charger. The Huawei P50 completes with the Max 66W Wired Huawei SuperCharge.
Powering the phone is a 5,000mAh battery which is identical in capacity to its lesser siblings the A53 5G and A33 5G along with support for 25W fast wired charging from a compatible charger. Even with the larger display, the Galaxy A73 5G was able to easily last a full day of heavy use.
There is no charger inside the box and the given cable has a USB Type-C port at both ends. So, if you have a new charger, this cable might work with it otherwise you will have to purchase a new charger. Any old charger which has a Type-C port at any end can also be used.
Verdict
Overall, I am impressed with the phone as it give me great display, powerful processors and juicy photos with their awesome camera. It completes with the charger which give a double thumbs up!
The Huawei P50 is priced at RM 2999 for 8GB + 256GB
