Baba Phang 峇峇之家 @ Sri Bahari Road, Georgetown

June 10, 2022 by StrawberrY Gal

Every time, I am back to Penang, I usually will hunt for some new place to dine. And this time, since we are craving for some Nyonya delights, we headed to Baba Phang which is few doors away from Ceki. Baba Phang is quite popular among many and they have quite a wide choice of Nyonya delights to go for.

We decided to go for some of our favourites such as the Jiu Hu Char. Their jiu hu char is perfectly stir fried with the turnips, carrots, dried squid and more. It is indeed very appetizing and with the sambal added, it makes a perfect dish.

Inchi Kabin (RM 18 (S) | RM 35 ( L)

One of the favourite Nyonya style fried chicken to go for! The chicken is beautifully deep fried till perfection leaving you with the crunchy bites and juicy meat. The portion is good for 4 pax and each mouthful is deliciously done.

Jiu Hu Char

The Jiu Hu Char here comes pretty good. The turnip is well sliced and stir fried till perfection too. The dish comes flavourful and we love every bites of it.

Asam Tumis Ikan Pari

The Asam Tumis Ikan Pari is sinfully good. The sourish taste of the curry together with the generous portion of fish comes simply an indulgence. It is perfectly good and appetizing.

Lobak (RM 15)

We enjoy the lobak very much where they comes with chunk meat bites and the Five Spices Powder in it is not overpowering.

Overall, Baba Phang serve a nice and decent Baba Nyonya delights. The price is also reasonable and it is a good place to enjoy your delectable meal there.
