Yejin Choi, a South Korean entrepreneur pioneering cognitive development solutions for children, is one of our featured Generation17 Young Leaders. With experience as a tutor and cognitive therapist, Yejin realized that a lot of children – especially those with learning differences – lack proper educational resources. To address this, Yejin turned to technology and founded DoBrain, an AI-based learning platform that utilizes mobile technology to offer immersive and interactive content. Since the launch in 2017, DoBrain has reached more than 600,000 children globally.
Generation17 is an initiative in partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) that aims to harness technology to elevate the voices of young leaders around the globe who are working to achieve the Global Goals in less than 10 years. Established by the United Nations in 2015, the Global Goals—or Sustainable Development Goals—provide a framework to address pressing global challenges including poverty, inequality, climate change and peace and justice, to build a better future for all by 2030.
