In Depth Review : The Samsung A53 5G

April 15, 2022 by StrawberrY Gal

The Samsung A53  had never disappointed us with their performance at all. After using the Samsung A53 for 2 weeks, we are impressed how the phone had performed so far in terms of the performance and photography. The phone offers more than just a middle range phone can offer and we are really impressed on the overall performance and more.

The Design

The Samsung A53 5G completed with the unique back with an Ambient Edge design  that indeed really blends well with their quad cameras. The colours are wonderful and it brings you with the matte finishing. The design comes simply impressive with the solid feel on the hand.  And for this, we had the Awesome Black on our hand where it brings you with the elegant finishing that you will definitely love it. Other choices of colours which is available includes  the Awesome Blue, Awesome White and the Awesome Peach where this is perfectly a choice for everyone regardless of women, man  or even  kids.

The Display

The display comes with the 6.5 inch Super AMOLED display with the 120Hz refresh rate and the Full HD+ resolution. They are protected with the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 where they are definitely protected and anti-scratch. The Samsung A53 5G completed with the selfie camera and in0display fingerprint scanner on the front. It is really an elegant look and they are just so beautiful overall.

Camera

For their camera, the A53 5G comes with the quad – camera setup and the main camera comes with the 64MP f1.8 aperture using the main camera by utilizing Sony IMX682 image sensor. The phone completed with the three other cameras where they have the 12MP f2.2 selfie camera. One can use them for selfie or even for video calling needs. Aides from that, the camera complete with the OIS features where this hardware stabalization which is built in the phone itself. It helps a lot and very useful in photography especially when taking baby or kids pictures or even moving objects.

Here are some of the pictures we took

Asides from that, they also built in with some fun feature when one can play with. You can add some attractive emoji, or even some awesome background to your pictures or video too.

Now;  you can capture your funniest moments with new Snapchat Lenses updated regularly on Fun mode. Browse and try on your favorites, capture your best look and share them with your friends.

Food Mode

Asides we try some food more for photography and it turns out impressively good too!

Performance

The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G packed with the homegrown 5nm Exynos 1280 octa-core processor clocked up to 2.4 GHz along with Mali-G68 GPU (quad-core) for gaming and graphics applications.

The performance of the Exynos 1280, performed between Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 750G and Snapdragon 778G, the Exynos 1280 is faster than the Snapdragon 750G and is close to the Snapdragon 778G, but not ahead. Since it’s manufactured in a 5nm process, it tends to consume less battery power in addition to the OneUI battery optimizations.

We had tried them in playing games such as Genshin Impact and more and there is no lag at all after 1-2 hours of playing them. We also do some video editing with the phone such as using the apps like Inshot and VivaVideo and it is working really awesome!

Battery

As for the battery performance, it comes with 5,000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging, Even though is not the best yet, but it is decent enough to have your phone fully charge about 2 hours usage. The downside is there is no charger in the box so you need to get your charger separately. As for the battery performance, it is pretty good as it can stand up to 2 days battery life for average use.

Verdict

Overall, I am impressed with the phone as it equips with the great specs such as the stunning 120 Hz Super AMOLED display, packs a 5nm Exynos 1280 octa-core processor. The camera performance is above my expectation and pretty impressive. They complete with the IP67 water resistance design together With additional protection from Gorilla Glass 5, your device is now tougher and less prone to scratches.

Overall, it is a good options for those who are looking for an affordable phone with awesome features. They are priced at RM 1849 with 8Gof RAM together with 256 GB storage.
