Global Restaurant NFT Marketplace Backed by MICHELIN Star Group and Blockchain Experts is Launching in Hong Kong Q2 2022.

April 6, 2022 by StrawberrY Gal

Gourmeta is a revolutionary digital marketplace bridging real life ‘money can’t buy’ restaurant experiences with Web3 and blockchain technology.

Gourmeta has been co-founded by Ioconic – a VC backed digital asset company based in the UK who focus on taking global brands into the digital asset space in collaboration with a group of well known high end restaurants holding multiple MICHELIN Stars and a number of ‘Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants’ establishments.

Gourmeta will provide exclusive and unique dining experiences at sought after restaurants across major cities globally. Access to all events will be granted only to NFT holders at the time of each event. Additional benefits of holding the tokens will be revealed throughout 2022 as Gourmeta’s roadmap rolls out.

Each NFT sale will take place on Gourmeta’s own marketplace at gourmeta.io in the form of an auction. Secondary market trading can take place on open marketplaces such as Opensea – as all tokens will be minted on Ethereum’s blockchain.

Given the exciting gastronomic experiences that will be offered by Gourmeta, they have been conscious not to exclude those wanting to participate who have limited crypto or NFT knowledge. Gourmeta.io will allow users to purchase access NFTs with credit and debit cards – these tokens will be stored in a custodial wallet thus reducing any requirement for collectors to have any blockchain experience.

All NFTs sold will detail the number of seats associated with the unique token and the price includes all food and drinks at each event.

The initial launch will take place in Hong Kong at the much sought after ‘Estro’ restaurant – which is notoriously difficult to get a reservation at with tables booked up months in advance. Estro’s Chef Founder, award winning Antimo Maria Merone, has put together a one off bespoke menu for the launch event called ‘Gourmeta x Estro’. The food pays homage to Merone’s upbringing in Napoli and his revolution of Italian gastronomy. Further launch events will take place at MICHELIN Starred andō and MONO restaurants.

Jamie Lewis, CEO of Ioconic and Co-founder at Gourmeta states of the launch:

‘The concept of allowing digital assets to provide access to real world experiences is an exciting development of blockchain technology and the truest form of utility. Gourmeta is providing food enthusiasts with the opportunity to participate in unique experiences that otherwise do not exist – thus creating pure scarcity. Each event will have its own unique twist that differentiates the Gourmeta night from all other nights on offer from the restaurant. We are delighted to launch Gourmeta at Estro, andō and MONO in Hong Kong – it is just a shame that travel restrictions mean I won’t be able to attend!’

Potential collectors can see all upcoming events coming to their cities as well as the 2022 digital roadmap at gourmeta.io, on Twitter @gourmetaNFT and Gourmeta’s Discord channel.

Auctions are live from April 11th 2022 at gourmeta.io
