Experience the allure of Venice in the heart of The Mines to ring in year-end Christmas festivities

November 27, 2021 by StrawberrY Gal

With December nearly upon us, it can only mean one thing – the Christmas festivities is fast approaching. Shopping malls will be putting up glittering displays to commemorate Christmas, but this year, The Mines has added a new element in addition to their beautiful display.

From now until 2 January 2022, escape to the waterways of Venice right here from The Mines with the specially arranged Christmas cruises.  Well-known for its internal 85-metre canal, celebrate the year-end festivities with a different twist at The Mines through a 20-minute ride around South Lake and immerse yourselves in the beautiful surroundings with your family and loved ones.

As the serene canal will be abuzz with retail activities that will liven up the festive atmosphere, shoppers can also look forward to mesmerising holiday moments at The Mines’ “A Joyous Sparkling Christmas” month-long campaign. Look out for the insta-worthy thematic displays or test your skills on the magical claw surprise machines and stand to win RM500 worth of STARVouchers!  There are also limited exclusive premium gifts for redemption with minimum spending of RM200.  Lucky shoppers that spend a minimum of RM150 will also be in the running to win STARVouchers.

Ms. Alicia Yuen, General Manager, Mall Management, CapitaLand Investment (Malaysia), said: “Each year, The Mines is transformed into a magical festive destination during Christmas to bring joy and cheer to shoppers, retailers and the community.  This year, we wanted to bring out the uniqueness of The Mines as the only shopping mall in Malaysia well-known for its Venetian-like internal water canal and what better way to do so than to enjoy this joyous season with our unique dazzling Christmas cruises right here at The Mines.  Shoppers will also be rewarded when they visit The Mines during our Christmas campaign with over RM15,000 worth of prizes to be won.”

With so many exciting new offerings, special promotions and exclusive redemptions curated specially for you, shoppers can sign up as a CapitaStar member to earn more rewards when shopping at The Mines or any CapitaLand malls.  There are exclusive eDeals, rewards, exclusive merchandise and more awaiting CapitaStar members. In addition, members will also enjoy exclusive invitations to members’ only events and promotions.

For the safety and well-being of shoppers, tenants, visitors and employees, precautionary measures in accordance with relevant authorities’ guidelines continue to be enforced at The Mines. Accordingly, Mall operating hours are 10 am to 10 pm daily while the cruise operating hours are 10 am to 10 pm, subject to weather conditions.
