PAVILION KL ELITE LED SCREEN WISHES MALAYSIANS SELAMAT HARI RAYA IN 3D ANIMATION

May 20, 2021 by StrawberrY Gal

This Hari Raya Aidilfitri, with Malaysians celebrating under the 3rd Movement Control Order (MCO 3.0), Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s premier shopping destination, still manages to capture a festive mood for all. Thrilling Malaysians with a special festive 3D ‘Selamat Hari Raya’ video greeting flashed on the Pavilion KL Elite LED Screen, the 20-second 3D animation wows with its larger-than-life size and realistic dynamism, bringing plenty of festive cheer to Bukit Bintang.

The 3D festive greeting features three kids celebrating the season by playing gasing (spinning tops). As the tops spin over the edge of the screen, one of the children appears to reach out of the screen. He smiles and waves at shoppers below, before the screen changes to a Hari Raya pantun (traditional verse), warmly wishing all Selamat Hari Raya.

The 3D animation taps into the joy and excitement of Hari Raya, and with many Malaysians unable to return home during this MCO 3.0, it serves as a nostalgic reminder to the nation, of balik kampung vibes right in the heart of Bukit Bintang. As the safety of shoppers remains Pavilion KL’s priority, the video concludes with a reminder to practice social distancing and adhere to safety SOPs.

The video greeting is aired every three minutes from 10am to 10pm, daily from 12 May until 12 June.

This marks the fifth time such a 3D animation is featured on the Pavilion Elite LED screen, following the global viral success of the 3D Golden Bull Chinese New Year Greeting in February 2021.

Dato’ Joyce Yap, the CEO of Retail, Pavilion KL said, “We are very excited to present this special 3D Hari Raya greeting to Malaysians and I hope it will be enjoyed by many around the world. During this challenging time, we hope to share festive joy, positivity and a united sense of optimism as we celebrate Hari Raya together.”

The Pavilion Elite LED Screen measuring 60.8m in width and 21.5m in height, with an impressive total size of 1,310 sqm, is one of the few screens in the world able to showcase the 3D animation and technology due to its design specifications.
